2021 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch
Maybe a view based on his efforts last year where he struggled with about a goal per game. Quite a few goaless and no big bags. I think about 20 for the season. Talk about improvement and I dont believe we have seen his best yet. He must be hard for teams to find an opponent for. Does number 31 proud. He really stepped up after Tmac started to struggle and won a few games close to by himself.

2021 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch
Marks Stupid autocorrect A guy texts his neighbor... A guy sends a text to his next-door neighbor: "Bob, I'm sorry. I've been riddled with guilt and I have to confess: I have been helping myself to your wife when you're not around, probably more than you. I know it's no excuse but I don't get it at home. I can't live with the guilt any longer. I hope you'll accept my sincerest apology. It won't happen again." Feeling outrage and betrayed, Bob grabs his gun, goes into the bedroom, and without a word, shoots his wife. Moments later the guy gets a second text: "Really should use spell check! That should be "wifi. Technology ha....it will be the end of us.

A gun forward who Mark's above his height and stronger than his size would indicate. Some incredible game winning performances including a stunning effort in the granny that was the catylist of our comeback.

When do players peak?
TX Dubdee. I was checking out Ablett Snr stats and he bloomed in his 30s as well. It's clearly different for strong bodies full forwards. They add more bulk and learn more tricks. A look at most Brownlow recipients suggests mid 20s. My interest in the topic is wondering how we will fare in the next few seasons. All signs point to success.

Grand Final Celebration at the G
I really hope we win back to back and another one or two this decade. That it brings in a flood of new members and supporters. That we return to being the team of the 50 s and 60 s. Highly relevant, respected and feared. A club where players want to go to. A club that leads the cup count again.

When do players peak?
Nup. You dont win a Norm Smith and Brownlow with only one trick in your kit.

When do players peak?
I'm a good deal older than you Nasher but I remember thinking how Fletcher was still playing for the Don's past your age. I have no idea how he did it. Its probably easier for a fullback who probably doesnt run as much as other positions but he was still a freak of nature.

When do players peak?
The consensus seems to be mid 20s. I was thinking about this because I was thinking how many key players had a great year. Fritta 24 Oliver24 Trac 25 Lever 25 Langdon 25 Gus 25 So I think next year we should go even better. We seem to have the perfect mix of players ages.

When do players peak?
I think I was wondering age wise how we will fare in the future. I think we will be relevant with this current list for at least the next five to seven years and win at least one more cup. Hopefully two.

When do players peak?
Thanks Fitp. I was thinking about the age of our mid players and others who starred this year like Lever and Salem. If 25 is the consensus...it partially explains our success this year.

When do players peak?
Yep given Oliver@ 24 Salem, Trac, Gus and Langdon @ 25

TAKE ME OUT TO A BALL GAME
Wish I could be there. It's an interesting thing the sheer joy and satisfaction I've felt winning a flag. Its obviously sweeter than what most fans experience, given how long we've waited but I'm surprised at how special it feels. And I always told myself I'd be happy just to see one in my life but now I want dozens.

When do players peak?
Imho, I reckon Dusty Martin played his best footy about five years ago. Not saying hes now a bad player but at 25 his stats and club votes indicate his best year. So has Trac peaked at 25? Even if he has it's not to say he can't keep playing at the same level for for the next five years. Oliver is 24. And we have a great deal of good players under 25. Obviously it's not just age ...its also the number of games but all things being equal is 25 the consensus for a players best year? Should we be looking for another young tall forward?

The Grand Final Rematch
The energy changed but the 19 points was an exaggeration of the dogs efforts. We missed a lot of goals and the dogs were uncanny with their snaps.

The intangibles that won a flag
Never been a better time to wear a beanie or scarf and flying the club's colours. # Demonpride.
-
The intangibles that won a flag
The number of young players who played above and beyond their number of years and games and the clubs faith in them. Bbb to show glimpses of his old form heading into and during finals. Fritta to reveal he is the best forward we have had for a while.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
From the 3aw commentary after Sparrow's three quarter time goal 30 secs left: Whose to say they can't get another one. He he.

2022 Fixture
I'm happy to play dogs ...the Afl is obviously recreating a gf atmosphere but it's tough for fans with work the next day. Given that we had to play in another state in our gf , you'd think we would get a break and given a Friday night. Cwood v saints, what a classic that will be.

2021 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow
Played a ripper Gf with poise and selflessness. That goal off one step like was like Tracs earlier one except that Tom is a lot younger. A potential close to another CP perhaps. I thought James Jordan was dealt a harsh blow being replaced by Sparrow. Thought they were at about the same level but I'm now sure they are not. Nothing against JJ but TS is a gun for his age.

I'm sure you mean Cwood but I think Hawks would go close.

CHANGES 2021 by The Oracle

Petty taken high a couple of times but were probably softies. The two against Viney were defianately not there. Jack did well not to lose it.
