Did I miss something? Has he been dropped?

What they area saying at Punt Road
leave it to deever replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
We had a good run non injury wise. -
This seems like a longer than normal day thread. There's excitement in the air. Maybe most are fired up about going tonight. It certainly makes Monday more interesting. But I think there is a quiet confidence and despite last week's embarrassing loss, a sense that we will win. Will Kozzie turn it on under the big lights? Will Tmac prove many wrong? Will Lever marshall his troops in defence and fix the backline? Will Jvr kick a bag? Will Mr whippy return? All these burning issues will soon be answered.

I should have known you would respond. The bas543d drove off too quick.

It's s lot for a younster on such a big stage but I feel he's in for a big game too....ooh ... Gotta go , for some reason the Mr whippy van is doing the rounds in our street.
-
Absolutely. I predict i( profoundly) it will take over the round including the traditional Tuesday clash. The night time atmosphere and the imitation phone candles bring a whole new feel that elicits goose bumps during the last post. Just need the crowd to grow which I'm sure it will. I'd wager those going tonight usually pencil it in each year as a must. Have we won most of them.?The first and only one I saw was when we were leading up to the last q but got down to about only 18 players due to injury and sone dubious rough play and the toigs stormed home.

Thanks very much Cc I knew the significance and traditions of the poppy but didn't know that rosemary grew wild at Gallipoli and hence to wear some. Oh the knowledge of Mfc supporters. A cut above others.
-
Sorry.

I still remember stumbling onto my front porch the first Anzac day post covid at the crack of dawn. I looked down our cul de sac and saw just about every neighbour standing at attention in some interesting states of attire as we could hear the last post drifting through the air from somewhere only to be interrupted by the odd disrepectful laugh of a kookaburra. It may not seem like much but I really felt proud to be an Australian.

Yea, tx very much for that. Just spoke to a mate going tmrw who confirmed the same thing. Would be a pretty bad faux pas. Enjoy tonight.

I'm going to my local 530 am service here in Bulli Nsw. I have a few of my grandad's medals. He fought at the Somme. Can someone please tell me if it's appropriate to wear any of them? My son has in the past but do adults who haven't served where them out of respect too.? Tx for any advice.

Have exactly the same thing. It's highly contagious. I try to keep mine under control by watching the 21 gf replay but alas after the recent lions and Don's games, I feel it spiralling into full a blown episode. The anxiety, sweats, the googling of injury reports and dread is tough stuff. It's not easy to live with but it's important to have support systems like websites to vent one's experiences, symptoms, triggers and treatments. I feel for you Brownie and we are all here for you. May the Dees thump the Tigers tonight and we all go into remission for a week.
-
If Max is in, we will win.
-
Well both teams are on the ropes but we have this. As we bounced back from the Lions game, so too tonight, we will conquer again. May we channel the spirit of those mighty men of Gallipoli that have shown us such great courage and love of others. Lest we forget.
-
Go to bed.😃

Your right. We were going downhill fast and it's comforting to remember how many chances they missed. Tx

I dont care if this is sexist but why do women take so long to choose items in shops. Im in the menswear section and its banb bang bang....all items picked and paid for. Meanwhile 50 mins later my wife has tried who knows how many items while I have to suffer sitting on a very small shoe seat listening to Kenny g playing through the extra large store speakers. Finally she's ready to go and Yes she doesn't even buy anything. No wonder men die before there spouse. They want to.

I wonder if like us against the dons, playing interstate twice in a row maybe hindered them. Perhaps?
-
Umm, they helped end our campaign last year.
-
Sad news in the passing of Barry Humpries. A great talent and international superstar of the entertainment industry. Never to be replaced. Thanks for all the wonderful laughs from Edna to Les. RIP.
-
And will the Afl still refuse to schedule Pies and tiges games there, citing crowd capacity? You bet. Just pencil in the Demons for the 100th time. Nobody cares about them.
-
This was their first game at home and the games you suggested are all there as well so it's good money they will win them.
-
Wish it was game day.
-
Take away Kardinia Park and you take away quite a few cats flags.
-
As much as we hoped it wasn't, deep down we all knew it would. Tough gig down there at the fortress. I'd rather play Interstate.
