Harmes is a good shot on goal. Grundy marking. Haven't heard Viney being called yet.
-
Listening to the radio so it's hard to tell but it sounds like Jackson is playing well.
-
I know our midfield is short but can Kozzie stay forward.
-
Come on Max. Show them who is the Boss.
-
It's sad really. Power get a sold out game in Adelaide and its the real difference to a home game/ crowd advantage compared to us.
-
Son is sick and hogging the TV so can't watch game on kayo. Have to listen to radio on mobile. Haven't listened to a radio game in eons. Why do tax payer owned media outlets like sbs and abc require people to set up stupid accounts to use their services? It's time wasting and unnecessary. Better now.

Will you BOO Luke Jackson this weekend?

Sadly we've all been there. Such a great game to relax by. -
Hot game from Jacko and a cold pie?

From the Age re last year. "Christian Petracca woke up sick on game day, not even 24 hours after Melbourne withdrew key forward Tom McDonald from the selected side with ankle soreness. McDonald did not play again for the rest of the season, eventually diagnosed with a dreaded Lisfranc injury, after being named then pulled out of the following week’s clash with the Sydney Swans, too. They also lost All-Australian defender Steven May to a concussion before quarter-time in a friendly fire incident with teammate Jake Lever, before a knee issue hobbled fellow key backman Harry Petty in the third term." Explains a lot.

AINT GUNNA HAPPEN.

Haven't checked the stats yet, but I'd wager we have a better KB record than QB. We've got today. I keep backing Kozzie for a big day out. It's going to be today. Us by 41.
-
If the Afl is serious about preventing concussions they would have umps penalise players dropping knees or ducking.
-
Yea, well it could be argued BB with our fwd line, that's us atm.
-
Only when they lose.
-
All for the mid season trade idea.
-
I hope your right.

Yea good point. Not like that gang has being overflowing with members the last half century either. He gets a pass. Besides as KDF pointed out, it's more other clubs way of doing things. -

Just voted and it confirmed what I knew: that the vast majority of us wont. Unlike other clubs ( particulaparticularly crows, power, eagles and lions), we are above such neanderthal tactics. Disclaimer. Umpires not included. -
Maybe so but where are the replacements?
-
Confidence definitely lacking as well, compared to 21.

To think I've been pondering if I should travel down to this game. Well that's that decision made for me. Rats.

I'm genuinely gob smacked by that price. Since moving to rural Nsw 11 years ago I don't get to Melbourne as much as I would like. I go and support our great team at the Scg when we play there but about 2 years ago it was 8 dollars for a cup of about 375ml mid strength. Aldi sells a great 330 ml bottle of knock off stella artists for under 2 $2 a bottle. Maybe they make about a dollar off each sale. @ 14$ I wonder what their profit margin is. Given serving costs etc they must make around 8 to 9 dollars a sale and I think that's a conservative guestimate. Good old footy, the working class game and societal leveller. Some fair seats for the wife and 2 kids could set you back around 100. Parking 20. Snacks 40. Total 160. Kicking back with the wife and having 3 or 4 beers each would give you little change for the whole day from 300 bucks. It's astounding crowd numbers have been so good.

That is theft.

I think Afl has proved that you need a lot of luck to get to the prelim stage. On paper our current injury list seems small, but every week we have lost key players and we never seem to get settled.
