  1. Fritta has it down in spades and a great example of this. He's not the strongest or biggest player by any stretch but uses his balance and timing to lean into opponents to move them out of the way or to propel himself into the right spot.
  2. Carlton storming home with seven wins on the trot. It's a good effort. Despite Petty going down I think we will still win. It's back at the Mcg which is good news for us. Hopefully Oliver will return and this will bolster morale. How much of an influence he has will be very interesting after such a long absence but he is a superstar so there's that. I think Goody will give Grundy a shot up forward although I'm not sure he's the man for the job. It's more a case of last man standing at this point in time. Milk was quiet against North, so I'm hoping he bounces back big time. I'm glad that Our smalls have hit some great form of late. Grundy isn't a good mark like Petty but he's tall enough to make a good contest so Kozzie and co can do their thing. It will be a tough game and we certainly can't come out again like we did against North. It's a toss up between Harmes or JJ for Oliver. Should be a ripper.
  3. Has Dustan played in the Seniors at all this year? I know he's been injured but from the dland reviews of games he's played at Casey, it sounds like he's up to it.
  4. It's a concern that a few of our talls are having injuries and are towards the end of their career. Tmac and Bbb are the obvious ones. But May is getting on in years. We need to be very focused on recruitment of some young talent and maybe some established players circa 25 years of age. I,d argue we need two tall defenders and two tall forwards.
  5. Given his family's connection and history with the CFC , I'm really surprised he would leave. But I guess you never know. Ablett junior left Geelong. I think recruiting an established somewhat mature player is a good idea but perhaps not Silvagni . Thanks Hawny for Gawny.
  6. I guess we still kicked 100 plus with our talls and Milk not kicking bags
  7. You haven't been following this club long me thinks.
  8. I don't get why some people would facepalm this. Obviously Petty is first choice but who else is left. Fritta of course but that only gives us one tall. It ain't gonna be Bbb, schacke or Tmac.
  9. I'm glad I don't barrack for Freo very often.
  10. Agreed Layzie. There's some Pollyanna posting permeating at present about Petty's present predicament. Our forward line was in dire straights and even Kozzie lifted in his presence. Finally found a solution and poof he's gone. [censored].
  11. I think we will see Grundy back. Maybe he will surprise us all.
  12. Blues seven wins in a row after losing six. Sheesh. It's about to come to an end.
  13. Your right. I feel sorry for the bloke. He's had a shocking run with them. And it wonderful form. Not sure who we replace him with. Grundy will probably get the nod.
  14. He's been injured a lot. It's a worry.
  15. Boy oh boy. Gee wizz. The B don't stand for brainy.
  16. I feel like I'm watching a game to see if we play finals. Really if we drew level in the first against North today we could have had a ten goal win. Sick of playing in Tassie.
  17. Disappointed Tommo wasn't picked. Or at least Hibbo. Smith may get a gig fwd next week but he's the sub for me.
  18. It's bloody annoying considering we are always playing at kardinia. Pies and Essendon never there either. Joke.
  19. Somewhat Pyrrhic victory with Petty going down. Hope he's ok Bad start but good we didn't fold like Pies did Gus was very good. Last week it was our talls, this time our smalls kicked them.
