Ben Brown - third forward & back-up ruck
I remember watching an interstate game on telly during COVID. The commentator quipped that if his run up was any longer he would need to go into quarantine.

Ben Brown - third forward & back-up ruck
Would love to see Bbb fit and firing but it's been a long time since we've seen him. He's still relatively young compared to Tom Hawkins. I'm glad you still think he's a chance to get back to the team. He was the home and away leading goal kicker three years in a row at North so there's that. I don't feel positive about Tmac either. I know we have recruited some fwds but most aren't very tall. I guess anything we get from these two is a bonus. I hope I'm wrong and Bbb and Tmac go gangbusters this season. Cheers Pf.

Ben Brown - third forward & back-up ruck
Sadly, I don't hold much hope in seeing him even get a gig up fwd. He was cooked in the 22 finals and was pretty much injured all last season. Even a fit Bbb isn't very good at rucking from what I've seen.

Best 44 2024
So glad to have Marty Hore back in the ranks again. Was very disappointed after his departure but he's back again where he belongs. Won't be easy breaking into the best defence in the Competition but it he adds more pressure and depth. Maybe he'll get a gig with Rivers playing in the middle more often. I also hope Tomlinson is a regular in the backline this year along with a healthy and fit Salo.

That was just brute force and deserved to go through the middle. No celebrations either. Quickly got ready to play again as the job wasn't finished.

Huge respect for this bloke after he went in and remonstrated with Maynard. A player who has his teammate's backs. Has been in career best form lately and we will need him firing again. It wouldn't have been easy losing the Captaincy. Most people would have cracked the sooks or just left. Not JV. Put his head down and got on with it. Says a lot about him. A true MFC loyalist.

If his form trajectory continues then we will have an excellent CHF. Something that we desperately need. I really feel he is going to be our next Gary Lion. At a young age, he really stepped up last year. Hopefully he has gained some more strength and can focus his aggression a little more. Gotta love that Roo chant. Here's to hearing a lot more of it.

WERRIDEE's Best 44 for each club
Thanks for this Werridee. A lot of work, all appreciated. I'm keen to see how Adelaide go this year. Seems to be a lot of feeling about they will be a finals contender. I don't think they will be.

If fit it's a pretty interesting fwd set up at in the twos.

Who will be the Judd McVee of 24?
Cheers to that SoNS. Would be great to see son of Shane star this year. Good call on Mcadam. Not like our fwd line doesn't need some help too. Haven't seen much of Howes but he seems to get a lot of love here. What about Jefferson....too soon?

Yea as bad as his set shots are you kinda of just accept it cos he's so damn good. Watching him burst out of the centre with the pill is just pure pleasure. Hopefully a Brownlow year for him with another Norm and cup. I'm not greedy.
