    To those who gave a vote to Daniel Ward is laughable. Pls look at the replay and tell me how many times he actually hit a target coming out of the backline. If Melbourne are going to employ Ward is the link man out of defence like St Kilda do with Goddard, Kangas with Sinclair, Dogs with McMahon etc, we are in a heap of trouble.

    Who cares if he was payed....some people are very foolish.

    Him coming on the show was a good thing to open peoples eyes on the pressure elite sportman face and how they struggle to come to terms with it.

    The AFL should not turn a blind eye to what's happening over at West Coast. Not long ago, it took four players to task and punished them for betting on football. Now, it should investigate the drug allegations and if necessary charge the WCE and/or the players involved with bringing the game into disrepute.

    It seems that Cousins' drug problem was known as early as July last year. What was done to help him with that problem? Where was the drug testing? Why was he (and the 7 others Worsfold refers to) allowed remain registered as AFL players into the finals series.

    Hmm.....thats a tough one.

    Perhaps it was, i dont know, so they could win the Grand Final. :rolleyes:

    I've put $10 on Sandilands to win the Brownlow at $81. Apart from Brock, ($61) my only bet.

    I think Burgoyne is value too at $31(I think).

    I reckon it is the best list Sheahan has put together for a few years.

    I'm sure there are plenty who would have Colin Sylvia and Daniel Bell in, going by the exuberant urging going on here.

    Where are you getting $61 for Brock?

    Wet Toast players were playing under the influence......and further more playing under performance inhancting drugs.....I would think so.........The AFL has been quiet the last few days. They shuold really be swinging the big stick starting by stripping away their premiership

    Good God. Id say you've been having what they have been having, good gear is it?

    Hypothetically speaking you strip the cup away from WC you give it to Sydney if in two months time a Sydney player has been caught taking drugs you strip them of the cup and give to it Adelaide, than they get caught.....and so on.

    Drugs are everywhere in society and it would not surprise me in the least if every team had at least two players who have taken a class A drug in their playing career......

    If the rumours are true, and Cousins really is addicted to a certain drug, than he'll be lucky to make it back onto a football field.... ever!

    I don't think a lot of people truly understand the severity of the situation. The guy appears to be a drug addict, it's not a problem you solve in a week or three. It is a serious, life-threatening issue, and if West Coast has any shred of decency, they won't worry about getting him back on the field ASAP, they'd worry about getting him clean and sorted, and that could take months or years.

    I don’t think he appears to be a drug addict. He appears to have been hit really hard by the break up of his gf and is venting it by going out and getting trashed as a way to not have to deal with his problems. Having emotional issues and taking drugs may mean your messed up but he certainly should not be labelled as a "drug addict’

    That is an incredible stat, McLean has never actually been fully fit yet. I remember an article about him last year and his possession rate and it was quiet incredible.

    Makes an even better read for those that attacked CAC for using pick 5 on him!

    Yeah, Tenace would have been a better option. :huh:

    Just ran into Robbo tonight in Brighton, having dinner at the Dendy Deli with a beautiful blonde.

    An absolutely wonderfully nice guy, which is a surprise considering his profile and reputed "ego." He noticed my demons lanyard and immediately shot me a smile. I said good luck to him as I left and patted him on the shoulder (he was sitting) and nearly broke my hand at the wrist. He's carved out of some kind of granite.

    Proof positive that not ALL footballers are imbeciles. I hope I get another chance to run into him, I'll ask him more questions if I can next time.

    And it's no wonder his girlfriend (assumption) is such a stunner, he's a good looking man...

    Not that there's anything wrong with that....

    Cringe.

    Interesting that Brock and Rivers seem to spend more time hanging out with the older blokes like Neitz and Robbo rather than with the "younger" crowd. Wonder why that is.

    Its because they're very mature for their age. :)

    TOP 10 DISAPPOINTS THAT I REMEMBER.

    1# ALLEN JAKOVICH - Had all the talent and flair to be a great at the club but did not have then discipline imagine if he had the discipline of his brother.

    2# SEAN CHARLES - Again had all the talent but could not handle life in the AFL.

    3# DARREN CUTHBERTSON - His first 5 games were fantastic but for some reason he lost the plot and was never the same player again.

    4# BRENT GRGIC - Remember his game against Collingwood in '98 when he took 12 marks. It wasn't long before he was a disgrace.

    5# DARREN KOWAL - We decided to keep him instead of recruiting Wirrapunda GREAT MOVE BALMEY !!!

    6# SHANE WOEWODIN - Winning the Brownlow was the worst thing that ever happened to him.

    7# CHRIS HEFFERNAN - Had a big reputation never delivered.

    8# CRAIG TURLEY - Another player with a big repuation that didn't deliver was later found out he already had back problems before we recruited him another great move Balmey.

    9# MARCUS SEECAMP - Should of held on to Martin Pike.

    10# NEIL BALME - I know he never played a game for us but as a coach he was a disgrace, had a big reputation as a coach after winning a priemership with Norwood and Woodville West Torrens. His decision to recruit heaps of rejects instead of youngsters was a real winner and put us 10 years behind the rest of the competition.
