Roosy and Nathan Jones on mmm hot breakfast
Sport at this level is all about glory and I reckon it's great to give the boys a taste of what they're playing for. Make 'em even hungrier!

Plenty of Demon fans did that during the first quarter

I have a dilemma...
I guess they're not your work "mates" then. So the dilemma is whether to strangle or drown them?

Finals Week 1 - Non-MFC Games
Crikey. What to make of that. After quarter time, Eagles decided to play from behind, fumble and dispose terribly. Only got it back in last 10 mins. But it was all worth it to see Eddie going off his nut.

Finals Week 1 - Non-MFC Games
Masters of the 9m kick (awarded as mark), cribbing over the mark, and invading the "protected zone". All should be picked up by the umps, but the umps are useless, so Syd take advantage. Die Sydney! Four more years and he's nearly 32

Finals Week 1 - Non-MFC Games
That's their problem ... only time they look like scoring is when it goes near Buddy, and that's not often. Meanwhile ... I'm enjoying this new game called "watch the other finalists and imagine how we'd go against them". It's a lot of fun.

Changes v Hawthorn - Semi Final
In our last two grand final appearances, we had bugger all chance because our opponents were masters of physical intimidation. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it's beautiful. GO DEMONS!!!

Post Match Discussion - Elimination Final
We rose to the occasion and were far too good. and fantastic to see our crowd was bigger than the night before's! Only empty seats I could see were right up next to the scoreboard where presumably you can't see the whole ground. Our last two games had us primed perfectly in every way. Theirs, the opposite. Second q, they were close to outright panic. After 1/4 time their game was all about nullifying us. That's partly why we were so off beam in our goal kicking. (Same why they were so bad too -- pressure.) But there was bugger all in their game about scoring themselves. It was more or less hoping that Hawkins would kick a bag. Captain Selwood saw off that threat. Watching Gawn, Oliver, Brayshaw, Harmes conversing and geeing each other up before ballups. At the start of the year, who would have picked this 4 as our starting midfield? Ablett looks like a footballer dismembered by mad scientists and sewn back together, badly. The "holy trinity" experiment has failed. He was in their team for finals success and it counted for nothing. He is like a Lewis or Vince gone one year too many. Still has his footy brain, knows where to go, what to do with it, but can't quite pull it off any more. A little tacker next to me stood on his seat and sang the song at the top of his voice each time all the way through. Felt very happy for him.

Spargo's a little gun but I think he's puffed out. The funny thing is, only a few years back, he would have been captain, and first picked! Oh we have come a long way.
