  1. Positives Trac back Clayton contributing AJ having a crack young blokes getting a touch Negatives Early goals matter Another knee takes out a Demon champ is Rivers playing? Disposal mediocre hand & foot Set shots suck (again) Freo Bunnies!
  2. Who took their chance? Sharp, Sparrow, AJ, Billings, Langford, Lindsay, McDonald, Campbell, Woewodin. AMW (until injured!!!) Who Didn't? Laurie, Chandler. Marginal with good signs: Jefferson, Turner, Adams, Howes
  3. I would think that group are playing tomorrow, or at least some of them. * I stand corrected!
  4. So, that means 80% of us want to lynch some cranky guy!
  5. Harley Reid is not 'that' good!
  6. Turner is a straight kick!
  7. Turner has played as a forward in every pre-season training session I have attended. McDonald has trained as a back in all of those. 35 days to our first game, only a massive injury count before March 23rd will have McDonald as a forward. I'm surprised that Macca is now primarily in the white (possibles) team for match sims. I think his form as a key back has been excellent.
  8. Daniel Turner 2024 Round 8, 13 disposals, 3 goals Round 16, 6 disp, 2 goals R19, 8 disp, 3 goals R 24, 11 disp, 4 goals
  9. Turner's 8 0r 10 touches = 2 or even 3 goals!
  10. I see AMW as a straight swap for McVee, not saying he is as good, but he is good in that role.
  11. At times. He is bigger, stronger, is taking some good marks and executing strong spoils in packs. He has weapons ->speed & long boot. His main weakness seems to be short kicks. I get the feeling that he now believes he belongs.
  12. My team from today's training. Be aware that I have not selected players who did not train, or players who are in rehab for some time yet. I selected players who were looking strong and fit and confident. (I've turned a blind eye to Judd's late mishap!). This team is purely on the basis of if we had a game tomorrow (I have decided, quite irrationally, that Judd got a cramp!) B: McVee, May, Adams HB: Howes, Petty, McDonald C: Langdon, Langford, Billings HF: Fritsch, Jefferson, Pickett F: Petracca, Van Rooyen, Chandler Foll: Gawn, Rivers, Oliver Int: Laurie, Campbell, Lever, Sharp, Sparrow apologies -> Hore, Turner, Brown
  13. I may have mistaken Woewodin for AMW with that comment on a sore shoulder.
  14. Time for me to go. I’ll add a few things later.
  15. Great contested work by AMW but sore shoulder after it. Max puts the heat on Langford and comes out the winner. Adams redeemed with good intercepts and well placed long kicks.
  16. Boys are looking exhausted, hot out there!
  17. Laurie just kneed Chandler in a marking contest after too much hang time from Fullarton kick
  18. Max, Riv, Kossie & Langdon v Campbell, Langford, Laurie & Oliver in Centre bounce
  19. Kossie winning lots of ball and delivering beautifully, running on to provide another option
  20. Jefferson defeats both Adams and Hore in big contest, much to delight of teammates
  21. Langdon has come in to middle as outside runner
  22. McVee showing his class. Max still supreme in boundary throw in contests
