Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 12
Dont want to sound to over confident here, but I cant see the pies getting within 6 goals of us. All of our senior players speak of the pain of round 23 last year. I cant see us letting up for a second in this game applying relentless pressure all day siren to siren. Our forwards are way too dynamic for their defence and our mids will be harder at it than them I can see us winning contested possession by 25+. I think a lot of players are really looking forward to the big stage & want to make a bit of a statement (if the last 6 weeks hasn't been enough)

Filling the hole left by Jake Lever’s injury
A lot of key forwards learn their craft as a back. Think back to Nick Reiwoldt, David Netiz, the G train all spent time back to master their craft. I just dont think putting Weid in as a intercept back would be a smart move, he would need to take more of a one on one defensive role allowing hibberd to play the intercept role. The thing I do love about Weid is he gives a contest can bring the ball to ground, and competes when it does hit the deck, also seems to be a clean kick on both sides.

11 Down, 11 To Go
I think the launch pad for where we end up in the finals comes from the next two weeks. If we can beat Collingwood and Port we will hold our spot in the 4 clear by at least a game (possibly 2 and %) We still have games against Freo, WB, St Kilda and the Suns. Which if we want to make top 4 we should be putting these teams away. That would have us on 14 wins with a remainder of games being Adelaide (a) Geelong (a) Sydney (h) eagles (a) and giants (h). Minimum of 15 wins required to be top 4 so we would only need to win 1 of our "tough" games to be a chance assuming we can take care of business to the lower teams. I think it would be better to have that tougher run home coming into finals. Especially if we can win 3 or 4 of those games our boys would up and about come September and ready to go. This is by far the most exciting back end to a season we have had for some time!

Changes v Collingwood
Outs lever and t smith both injured Ins j smith and weid If round 23 burns like the players said it did then we should really show up for this one and [censored] crush the pies out of the top 8 and decimate their percentage.
