If Hogan and Watts come back in then either Stretch or ANB will have to go out if not Hannan who I do agree brings that something extra.
ANB for all his forward pressure and improved decision making is excess to needs (dependant on Garlett getting up) with a power forward back in the team demanding the ball.
Stretch did okay but as the replacement for Watts, logic would suggest he's possibly an omission.
Harmes and Bugg below AnB and Stretch IMO.

My mail is that Watts won't play.
Saw footage of him running yesterday; Looked fine to me. I guess we'll find out tomorrow morning at training.

Interestingly, Gawn said in his press conference Tommy Mac won't play on Buddy and it'll be OMac or Frost.
So Tmac forward again it may be.

I think injuries/niggles will be a revolving door due to this 6 day break. Would expect Watts and maybe someone else to cover Salem and potentially Garlett.
Play Hannan deep with Watts and Pedo. JKH can play Hannan's HHF/midfield role.
Tmac on Buddy
Pedo ruck support
Maybe OMac comes out if Garlett and Salem are right? Omac was pretty poor last night and was ineffectual against Petrie or McGovern. I know his form has been better, but Buddy could break records on him. Heeney would be too quick for him and Reid is suited to Frost.

I'm actually going to put Tmac BoG. Career best game
6. Tmac
5. Viney
4. Vince
3. Gawn
2. Tyson
1. Mitch Hannan.
Surprised people giving votes to Pedo. Thought he was pretty poor tonight as a forward apart from his last qtr. Only 3 marks.

You bloody legend Tom Mac!!!

Garlett on 1 supercoach point at half time ?

Harmes, Bugg, Pedo unsighted. Geez we'd look different with Watts, Hogan and Jones playing.

Just reported on sen that Watts left training grabbing his hammy.
Big loss. Quite strange as his scans came back clear. Will need to work with physios then to get it right.

I feel people have short memories on here. JKH was deplorable when he had his chance. A good VFL player but that's about it unfortunately.

Yes it was..
I remember that night. Was pretty magical if I recall as it cemented our spot in the top 8.

Well deserved by Goodwin.
Can't help but ask, what does David Neitz have to do when guys like Barry Hall and Anthony Stevens are getting inducted?

I know we're still concentrating on this Saturday's game, but I hope we get a solid crowd turn-out on next Friday night at the MCG against Sydney. With all this talk of North's dismal attendance last Friday night game (even chatter about them moving to Tassie), I think it's a really good opportunity for us (fans, members) to show we appreciate playing on the big stage by showing up in droves next Friday night.
If you haven't already put next Friday in the diary, then do it now!

Both watts and jones wont play. Watts has a hamstring strain and wont be risked. Gawn and JKH will come in
Massive difference between a hamstring strain and tightness. I'll go with the latter based off the way he jogged off the ground.

Most teams come off the bye pretty rusty. Melbourne a good case in point for the first half against the Pies. Don't think it'll do us any favours if we make the finals.
-
Watts said on MMM he was going to come back on but coaches wanted to be safe given the game was locked away. Also think Jones will be right.
In: Gawn
Out: AnB (unlucky)

Apologies to Oliver, Pedo, and lots others. Surprised Watts isn't listed in a few posts. Was the dominant forward on the ground and no.1 ranked player before coming off.

Dogs barely got over the line against North there and trailed for 3 quarters against Brisbane. Not to mention Etihad has been our fortress this year
True, but they did smash the saints there (but so did we), beat Richmond, and Swans who were pretty good that night.

Donations going to the reach foundation and asking guests to wear red and blue for the service. Well done Hibby and family. RIP.

Dogs play Etihad better than anyone. I reckon it'll be a tough game. The boys have to be 100% on. They were rusty last week due to the bye but came back strong. I predict a very solid hit out and a 5 goal win ?

Provided he plays Sunday and next week, he's on track to play his 150th against Sydney on Friday night at the MCG.
Dont want to look too far ahead and milestone games often tend to backfire but this bloke does deserve a bit more glory.
He's played 148 according to AFL.com so that would mean the game against the eagles will be his 150th.
-
Doubt Spencer will play given he's listed on the I/C. I'm smelling no changes to be honest or possible Kennedy in for Harmes or AnB.

You can listen to the last 5 minutes of the game with 3AW. Tim Lane's commentary is brilliant and I got goosebumps listening to the Watts goal.
Can someone please dub this with the video footage like they did with the Hawthorn game last year?

Yes, I completely lost my s#!t when he kicked that goal, everyone around me lost it. A really great moment.
My little transistor radio flew out of my hands in that moment of jubilation and I had to go find it in the stands afterwards.
Up there with one of the best moments I've watched at the MCG in recent years.

Is Watts with the main group? How's his running looking?
