What would you guys give up for O Rourke? What would GWS accept for him?
If we lose chip and get an extra priority pick I would nearly bite the bullet and go with that. But I would also ask back another first round draft pick like we did with the Tyson deal. We did the trade with Tyson because I believe the club knew he had serious potential and bit the bullet. Look how its turned out. I believe we should do the same with O'Rourke.
-
I really do hope we push for him. He only has to look at his mate Tyson to see how he has flourish under Roos. This is a big call but I could see more upside in O'Rourke then Tyson. Is tall with elite kicking skills and speed. Can play inside or out. Like Tyson injuries have hurt him. Cannot see the dogs going after him as their midfield is fine. We could even use him off a half back to set up play with his kicking skills.
-
He is also 188cm tall. The perfect big tall midfielder Roosy dreams of.
-
Jono O' Rourke is best mates with Tyson, and has played footy with both Toumpas and Viney. Just there alone would make a solid midfield for years to come.

Just noticed he will be up my way this Saturday (wangaratta). Il be watching the TAC game aswelk and will definitely go up and shake his hand and mention that I probably speak on behalf of most supporters that I thank him for bringing back the enjoyment of supporting the Melbourne Football Club again.

I wanna make love to Paul Roos.

Haha that's legendary! Could to hear the players up and about!I doubt that Chip will take Wingard I think he was just taking the p155, he's a very funny guy, great sense of humour. I could understand why he'd be popular at the club.
They did a parody of Roos with all the players wearing a Fitzroy jumper and a mullet wig and Chip's was just great. Roos found out about it the day before and gave them a bake which I think was all part of the show. He was like the rest of us and thought it was hilarious.

I would love to see this clown out in the public.

Great idea. O'Keefe would be a great get, I think he still has a couple years left in him.
In terms of professional footballers, there is no better teachers than Cross and O'Keefe.
I once heard that Daniel Cross used to keep footballs in his cupboards around the house - so when he opens them, he has to always be sharp.
That is going above and beyond, that is the type of guy I want around the club.
As for O'Keefe, apparently he has lived clean for nearly a decade - Ablett like clean - eating the right things, not drinking, doing the one percenters.
That is the type of guy I want our young blokes to learn from.
The more leaders helping Nathan Jones - the better he is getting, the better those around him are getting.
I made a thread about him awhile ago in the thought of bringing him over to the dees for a year. Seriously dedicated professional in terms of dieting and preperation. Would be on par with Crossy and we have already seen what he has done to the likes of Jones, Tyson, JKH, Viney etc.

You bring it upon yourself Saty. Anyone on here who might have a slight critic on player or staff you are quick to jump down their throat and rubbish them. You always want to make it about me don't you, methinks it is you with the issue, anything to actually add on the topic?
I am not surprised you are a big fan of Welsh public roast. If I remember you were a big fan of Neeld and even right up to when he got sacked you were telling us he was the right man for the job. All us supporters know that a public spray isn't healthy for our list after what it went through with Neeld. Only you your delusional self think this is still appropriate. Get with the times.
-
If they were that poor then why were the players in the best all Melbourne players? Dont like the public spray one bit. We have gone through that enough as it is with Neeld. Jordie had 35 disposals and didn't get in the best so obviously a poor game. There is nothing wrong with Welsh's comments, I was there, 2nd half from MFC listed players was poor, with 2 maybe 3 exceptions, Jordie, Fitzy and Michie
Our players must think who the F this bloke thinks he is.
Then again you were a big Neeld fan.

Wayne Carey just saidbhe would take Dawes over Cloke in a heartbeat.

Not sure if it's mentioned anywhere but Dom was on the Sunday Footy Show.
Very impressive kid, on and off the field.
His old mate Damo Barrett was sitting 2 seats away and never said a [censored] word for the whole segment, the gutless piece of [censored] [censored] [censored] rat [censored].
Wrong Barrett was already off the show once Tyson came.

Looking forward to hearing about billy stretch playing well.

Funny how he smacks our players yet look who he names in the best.. all Melbourne players. Maybe his Casey players need to pull thdir fingers out and stop relying on our players to do all the hard work. Some of our young players are there to just develop their game. Some may say he was being harsh but fair, although I think it's a bit rich to put all the blame squarely on the MFC listed players and publicly putting words in their mouths.
I think we've seen with Roos, and a timely reminder in the form of Hafey's passing, that being a hardass DH might get you far, but chances are that supportive constructive feedback and encouragement will get you a lot further.
What were Welsh's credentials as a player again?
Always said Welsh wasn't the right man for the job and got hounded down a couple of weeks ago.. Reeks of Neeld like qaulities with us public spray on our players.

Another Richmond blunder getting rid of Derickx.. would have been handy for them on Saturday..Every year there is a better ruck man than Spencer either delisted or able to be picked up for a very late pick. Read Deryckx, Ceglar, Jolly etc etc.
Please desist with the Spencer experiment.
-
Very disappointing result.. shows out our depth when we lose to a dtand alone VFL side.
-
Massive turnaround..
-
I'm too lazy but can someone name and compare our midfield from 2013 to 2014.
-
does anyone think theres any chance at all he may have a change of heart one day and come back and play footy with us
Nope I think he is finally at a happy head space now.

Fair dinkum watching Game Day and they have Cotchin and Chaplin as panelists and you would have thought might have won yesterday. Cotchin 3 things we learnt was disgraceful. Could only muster up one positive for the dees saying how our big man stretched there backline then had the guts to say Ben Lennon is a younger player to watch in the future. What about Dom Tyson who pulled your pants down? Or JKH who put the nail in the coffin?
Unbelievable.

Amazing win! Check the scores in the changerooms after our win today and let out the biggest YOU LITTLE [censored] BEAUUUTY!!! Turned to two other teamates of mine who are melbourne supporters and gave each biggest high five going around! We were more excited about this win then us just beating the top side would you believe it or not lol.
Btw first time Viney, Toumpas, Tyson, Salem and JKH all played together today. You could build a seriously competitive midfield out of that lot!
Ps: To Picket Fence go and EAD and take your Toumpas negativity and shove it up ya. Your a sad individual who share the same similarities as Damian Barratt.
