Im sorry, but did people actually watch the game yesterday? And dont give me nonsense about his 'defensive pressure'. The kid is scared of the ball, the contest, whatever you want to call it. If it comes into his possesion or even worse, when he has it, he immediately gets rid of it at any cost. Watch his eyes/head dart around. Has rarely taken the game on. Hasnt got great speed. Isnt a great kick. So what is left for him? This isnt an AFL standard player. Hips or no hips, he has had time to show something and hasnt. Its a bust. Its time we move on.

Such a beautiful day for footy. I left at 3qtr time and the faces of other Melbourne supporters on the train said it all. Absolute defeat. And I dont mean in the win/loss sense. I mean there was nothing left. One guy have me a nod and a look and it said it all. I dont care that we played the Hawks and we had guys out. Today was the WORST ive seen live since i started going in the mid 80's - and its pretty darn close to 186 in terms of hurt. I do not know for the life of me where we go from here. I can not see us ever getting out of the cellar. We will forever be a bottom team.

Not going to lie, this is the worst looking team on paper so far this year. That compounded that the Hawks will be seething after a loss to the Giants AND that every member of my wifes family is a Hawks supporter.. Yep, this round has the potential to really hurt.

I still remember seeing Spencer play full foward in round 1 years ago. He didnt look like a football player then and nothing has changed. Gawn at least has some presence and can provide something up forward. Spencer has neither.

Hogan, Salem, Stretch, Brayshaw, Tommy Mac.. at least there is something to build on. God knows there is enough crap to be swept out (yet again) at years end.

Lets be honest, has he ever looked like he was going to make it? Ever since he came in with those dodgy hips, he has looked out of his depth. I can not see him making it. He has had more than enough chances to show something... anything.

What year is it? How long have we been saying this for? Absolutely NO excuse for the effort they are dishing out. Game is supposed to be about fighting, showing courage, determination etc. They have shown NONE of that.
