  1. May I respectfully correct you, @Queanbeyan Demon? 'We will always have (the other 5-letter 'P' word) Perth'
  2. Crikey, it's rapid fire footy when it gets going, though, isn't it?
  3. Storm's Tom Eisenhuth. Perhaps not 'lookalike' but 'lookabitlike', at least?... You know who.
  4. Sounds familiar... (Swans to Dees: 'Anything you can do, we can do worser') (Hickey to Maxy: 'Anything you have done, I've now done worser')
  5. Yep, younger brother. He's the guy who kicked 20 goals for Coldstream a couple of years back. Edging towards the bigger/big time??
  6. 'There's been a lot of water under the Todd River bridge since then'?? Maybe in the last few days, perhaps...
  7. Gonna wait now till after Sunday's Riddle In The Middle, for fun in the afterglow or distraction from the doom.
  8. Hoping the overall experience provides some nice NoT$NoB$ vignettes (if not vins), Uncle - or any other B$Ters on the trek.
  9. Ahhhh! No mo info needed! (p.s. I've only heard tell of the porn connection...)
  10. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1366885/hall-of-fame-choco-reflects?videoId=1366885&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1687942800001 From 6:20. Particularly with his look direct at camera. Love it. And get on board you game-goers!
  11. Eric Idle had a cure for life's gristle and other calamities. This thread is one of mine!
  12. It's gonna have an all-round very Manuka Oval type feel about it... 😬
  13. Sometimes I think that's all anyone notices, DB 😄
  14. 14.15 to 12.13 "a pretty low scoring game" LOL; Oos used to dreeeem o' t' 14.15 to 12.13... Thanks @Elwood 3184, and snap to those memories, Traja, including sitting on the backs of those slatted wooden benches! Strange to hear Robbie; so much of what provides memories of him now is vision.
  15. This may either offend a DLer behind a display name or fail to get past the censor, but my OM (of recent whisky and milk notoriety) had a work colleague named Sandercock. Aka Grittyd**k Didn't I used to laaaarf?
  16. So, it not being a (rare) holiday, and it being very Scottish weatherwise, DOD (Dear Ol' Dan's) has product on member special atm: Glen Moray Distillery https://maps.app.goo.gl/fudgnK7GH2yLxSpn8 Not high end, but how could you not enjoy something from a place like this? (I hope pics come with link...😬)
  17. The sub-record to this, which I suspect we'll never lose, is our #1 position, of the above top (bottom?) 7, in 'Degree Of Mercury' in the 'bookend' years: St Kilda bookended all its 3 years with spoons; Hawthorn almost did, with a spoon and a 2nd last (to us, 3 years after a premiership...); Fitzroy did even better, spooning then 'disappearing'; GWS spooned but scrabbled up to 3rd last; and WC, well... We, on the other hand, bookended with an albeit very modest 14th but then a spectacular Prelim and 4th.
  18. See 10,000 posts in 500 other threads 😉
  19. That was a pleasant Sunday morning read, @FarNorthernD - dare I say it; 'That's the Spirit!' I'm excited! To the Weakness bloc, perhaps could be added Ruck stocks/age? (though I'm unclear as to the structural importance (yet) of rucks in the womens game). Watt's age speaks for itself, Pearce is closing in on that stage, with leg issues, and Harris in full-ground ruck mode is a bit 'robbing Peta to pay Paula'. Ditto, though less so, Zanker. I'll be interested in others' responses on all this, FND. Thanks again! 👏
  20. Indeed. And publish his answer here, please. What use is IP if it's not used?
  21. 'No'? Sounds like a 'yes' to me. For what is an oasis but a haven in the dunes?
  22. ...and so the comestible conversation turns (briefly?) from libations to lactoids. Ready. Set. GO!
  23. My OM's was whiskey and milk. Thankfully the blended variety...
  24. To clarify, for the sanctity of the thread (its sanity is beyond redemption, and said sanctity is teetering...) the Malibu n Milk is a holiday drink, with its summery mate, a G&T: I do take the occasional (well earned) holiday, from reds - generally shiraz but open to the varietal spectrum depending on what sort of head I need to wear next morning - and single malts. I don't mind the peated, either, though not to everyone's taste. Thoughts?
