  1. There's a difference between trading and delisting. The club and I both would have traded him for the right offer. You do realise that both parties (clubs) have to be happy in a trade ? Finally, thankfully, he's playing an important role that benefits the club. That he's doing what I've been calling for doesn't make me "wrong". It vindicates what I've been suggesting was required and is a minimum output (for me). Some of you glad handlers are far too easily pleased.
  2. Watts has been a dud in every year he's played, until this year. There's a reason he was shopped around last year for around pick 25 and there's a reason there were no takers. Finally, he's improved his contested ball significantly and he's hitting the scoreboard. He's finally doing what I've called for for years. You and others have been happy for him to chug along without impacting games of footy. I wasn't and have been vindicated by his improved play. Only taken his 8th year. I never said forwards only have to hit the scoreboard, but if you're averaging 10 disposals a game 2 goals for the year ain't enough. Which is why I'd bring in Petracca for Frost. And yes, with Watts' talent he had to kick goals as a permanent forward. He's doing what he had to and we're benefiting as a result.
  3. Since when did he play for the Dees, Daisy ?
  4. Because Petracca is ready to go, Frost doesn't play tall (I prefer him as a back) and someone needs to make way. If they make Petracca wait another week so be it, but Frost, who doesn't hit the scoreboard, is an obvious candidate to make way. I'd keep Pedersen, because he's better in the ruck and is more beneficial taking the heat off Hogan from a contested marking point of view. Speaking of hitting the scoreboard, I see Wattsy is doing what I said needed to be done. From memory you poured cold water over my suggestion he needed to kick 40 goals. How's he tracking ?
  5. Those players are no longer injured, so, as mentioned by another payer, he'll just be on light duties.
  6. Too late, Chuckles. I've already said in the post you responded to that the coaches may prefer the structure with Frost in the team. Me ? Not so much. Frost is not a pivotal player in the forward-line and can be displaced by Petracca.
  7. As I may not receive an answer... It's mildly amusing that a seasoned poster needs to be educated to the fact that footy is still won in the midfield. We had 128 less disposals than Essendon and Gawn, Viney had their worst games. Others in the engine room were also underwhelming. But you think Frost not playing was a key factor. Nice one, Chuckles.
  8. What's your point ?
  9. Some of us have said for a long time that we'll be a very good side when Jones is the 4th or 5th wheel. If he was at Hawthorn he'd be behind Lewis, Mitchell and Hodge. If he was at the Cats when they were winning flags he would have been behind Ablett, Selwood, Bartel and Corey. Viney has become our number one mid. The length of time it takes Oliver, Tyson and Brayshaw to reach higher levels will determine our eventual flag prospects.
  10. It's a pretty obvious answer you seek. I'd drop Frost to make the team better. I wouldn't be doing it to make the team worse. But if the coaches like the current structure and what he brings he'll get to play. It's pretty obvious he's one of the first to make way if there is change.
  11. They go back a long way. Tyson, Viney and Toby Greene all played in the Oakleigh Chargers side that lost to the Sandringham Dragons in the 2011 TAC Cup Grand Final. Unfortunately, they gave up a 20 odd point 3/4 time lead. Viney was named best afield.
  12. For those interested: We had the equal youngest team for the round on the weekend and second least experienced (Brisbane 74.3 games ~ 75.1) This group is going to enjoy growing together.
  13. There was nothing bad about that whatsoever.
  14. Teams thrive on a player playing their first game. It's often said groups are "up" with the injection of a new player. No better way to tackle a team that has had the wood on us than by unleashing Petracca and his unbridled enthusiasm in our bid to win 3 in a row. The perfect opportunity against the team that overlooked him.
  15. Tmac, Dunn, Lumumba, Wagner, Hunt, Jetta, Vince The defence is pretty well covered by this group of 7. I reckon it gives Petracca every opportunity if they manage Brayshaw Out: Brayshaw, Salem In: Oliver, Petracca
  16. Not to mention that they may earmark Hunt for Billings.
  17. I'm comfortable with all of that and stand by my earlier post, i.e. "but if I did rate him 40 who cares ? He hadn't played an (AFL) game and as a forward at Casey he did some special things, but averaged about 9 disposals per game. But in reality (and I'm surprised it needs pointing out) now that I've seen exposed form at AFL level I love what he brings to the table." No wonder I put you in the vindictive posters category. Your baiting form continues. Off to ignore for you
  18. Oliver is playing better than Brayshaw, so no loss there (presently a gain) and Frost is a 28 gamer. Petracca offers more in his first game than Frost in his 29th. Frost has kicked 2 goals from his 4 games and averages 10 possessions. A few pressure acts and 1%ers don't cut the mustard for me.
  19. Not sure about that. Please quote what you're referencing. I can't remember the contents of the list ranking debate, but if I did rate him 40 who cares ? He hadn't played a game and as a forward at Casey he did some special things, but averaged about 9 disposals per game. I do remember Redleg asking me whether I'd delist or retain for another year and saying I wouldn't get rid of him, because anyone who had shown the X factor he had was worth persevering with. But in reality (and I'm surprised it needs pointing out) now that I've seen exposed form at AFL level I love what he brings to the table. If you really want to highlight "changed attitudes" you'd be better off having a read of this closed thread from January. A couple of posters may like their time over. http://demonland.com/forums/topic/39622-the-mystery-of-jayden-hunt/
  20. Another irrelevant post. The question was asked who had been booed as much and I gave an answer. I can't be bothered analysing the reasons why and the question didn't require the reasons why; just who...
  21. What a bizarre post. The question was asked if there'd ever been a player booed as much as Goodes and I gave an answer.
  22. Many Richmond supporters think it was the best match they've played this year.
  23. Oliver won't come back via Casey, he makes us better. We missed him against Richmond. Did I read someone say that Petracca hasn't done enough to warrant selection ? Averaging over 30 possessions and a goal per game (3) isn't enough ? Especially when you look a class above the level ? I don't care that we've won two in a row. This side can be better and needs to be better. If Petracca is deemed to have enough kilometres in his legs then he needs to come in. Brayshaw is noticeably labouring and needs to string a couple of good games at Casey and Frost can't mark. I know he does some good things and yes, his speed pressure is great, but that's not enough to keep you in the side. Petracca plays taller than Frost, because he's an exceptional mark and leap. Out: Brayshaw, Frost In: Oliver, Petracca
  24. I like Hunt not so much for what he's already done, although some of it has been great, but because you can see what he'll become. His upside is enormous.
