He should be dirty at North for cutting him. That being said, at 31 he doesn't really make a heap of sense for us to sign him. Gold coast could certainly use him given they struggle to keep senior players on the list.

Goody didn't rate him, the rest is history. I think Goodwin is the kind of coach that doesn't hand out second chance cards too often.

Our ruck stocks are light on, but I'm happy to roll the dice on who we have rather than sign someone who will be of no use in 18 months time. I think King looked ok in the VFL, he has heaps to work on but could end up being a player. If Pedo and tmac couldn't ruck if gawn went down, perhaps king could step in.

I'm 34 and am honestly starting to think I won't ever see one. My old man was too young to remember much of 64, I'm sure he wishes his old man hadn't have gone the hard sell on the dees when he was a kid. My little boy is dees also. He is too young to understand what he is getting himself into. I feel so much guilt making him a dees fan knowing the heartache that is likely to follow. 53 years is a lifetime for many. Watched the grand final today and all I could think of was the fact we are only a player or two off being right there in the mix. I was against stringer a week ago, but watching the delight of tigers fans made me wish it was us out there celebrating a win. I'm sick of waiting for a flag, if Stringer is available he makes us better.

Honestly if his 2018 is better than his 2017 he will probably play on in 2019. Cam was a pleasant surprise in 2017. I like many others expected him to play as depth and probably finish up this season. Really pleased to see him get another year.

I'm starting to get concerned with the amount of Hogan to Freo rumours that keep surfacing. Where there is smoke there is fire. Many website and papers coming out this rumour from a similar angle.

He won that game against the saints for us. Was just bobbled up when the game was in the balance and looked 2 telling goals. Great first season. Hope he can improve again next season.

I'm really happy for him. Once the whipping boy at Essendon, he has come here and made a name for himself without the nonsensical whipping he was getting at Essendon. I dare say he has a few fans out there in red and blue which is great. Loved his 2017, I for one was very surprised by him.

Love hard tough nut players. We probably just lacked them through the late 2000s and early 2010s which is probably why we get such little respect from opposition fans. I think our current footy department and coach seem to have a love for hard contested players. I think as our list turns over the team will get harder. I think dees fans are going to love following a team that plays unsociable football.

Jokes aside there is a huge number of Sudanese migrants coming into Dandenong. Would be terrific to see some of the kids get into footy and get drafted. Casey is one of the fastest growing municipalities in the state, lots of young families. Although not ideal now, could be terrific in the coming few years with the amount of kids out that way. Scully was from Casey.

Agree, their premiership window opened last year and they rightly could have won last year and this year. The fact they didn't might mean them winning one is not guaranteed and they are not a super team like everyone thought they would be.

I really want to like Kent's game because he has some mongrel. The issue for me is that he is one of the most laconic footballers in the comp. His lack of interest in two way running in some games is Simply not going to get it done for goody. Kent paid the price at the selection table for this. I can't see him moving ahead of anb or harmes these days.

I'm with you here pman. His poor games are very pedestrian like. He has more talent than half our list, but he doesn't always use it which hurts his ability to be relied upon as a star player.
