  1. Biggestred, there's likely to be a free metro bus service. Alternatively you could talk to the club about coming to the brunch, they've organised a ferry over as part of that function. gsmith there's heaps of parking at the park on south street.
  2. Hi gsmith. The trouble is that a lot of the stands are taken by north members or cricket TAS members. The mfc also reserved heaps of seats (apparently they've sold about 1000) in that part of the stand. There may not be much left to choose from. I doubt the game will sell out so it would be fine to just rock up on the day. You would probably find yourself standing on the hill. Not a bad spot to watch from but not very comfortable. Depending on how close to the fence the seats in bay 11 are, they might be the best option. Alternatively you could contact the club and see if they can assist.
  3. Hello all, I'm a Hobart based long time reader who rarely posts, however I have offered to assist the club in circulating the details of a couple of functions they are holding in Hobart leading up to the match against North in rd 3 at Bellerive on Sunday 10 April. Hopefully my efforts at posting the flyers are successful. I'm really excited that the club will be in town and are making an effort to engage with Hobart/Tassie supporters. I think the events are something we need to support and potentially build upon as I understand that Tassie is the only state without an MFC Supporters Group. Hope to see you there.
  4. JKH needs updating as well - http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2015-02-16/kennedyharris-signs-new-contract
  5. Agree entirely with the OP. This is an issue (obviously a minor one) that I have had concerns about as well. All other major sports around the world have their coaches suited up. Our coaches have become billboards. While I completely understand the need to maximize sponsorship return on investment, there's got to be a line somewhere. If it's good enough for the NBA or premier league to have their coaches/managers in suits why can't we?
  6. Agreed Demoneyes. Certainly provided a much more balanced view than others in recent times. Also agree in relation to Quayle.
  7. No idea SYL. Only what I had heard. Might be as Lamashtu says, a small contract offer knowing he couldn't possibly accept. I have no idea. Nor do I know whether the contents of my first post are true from chips perspective
  8. Hi all. First time poster, long time reader and very long suffering member. Never posted before because I've never had anything of substance to add to the conversation. However, as I am Hobart based I sometimes hear snippets relevant to Tasmanian players. In relation to Chip, the message from this former Tasmanian player was that Chip in fact wanted to stay. It was actually our choice to send him on his way as we knew we'd see a high pick as compensation which could then be used as needed. Chip was apparently devastated by that decision. I have no way of verifying the veracity of the story but I can see some reason in it from the clubs perspective and it also provides a different view on Frawley and possibly some of the other social media posts by players. Read into this what you will it I just thought it was interesting and worth sharing with other tragics. PS I am a strong believer in both PJ and PR.
