Pies missing Maynard and Mihocek

People saying if we kicked straight, we would be top or whatever - to me is just nonsense. Its like saying if we hit targets or if we won the clearances. It didn't happen due to skill or whatever reason Kicking straight is part of being a top team and its a skill and a mental thing to overcome

Wow the Pies really commit the entire team when they attack. Haven't really seen a team play like this before Turn it over and you have a goal. Naughton was on his own earlier with only Quaynor within 20m McCrae could be the new Hardwick. It's stubbornly taken me a long time to acknowledge them but they will win 2 flags at least i reckon Having said that - they are not unbeatable. and have clear vulnerabilities

at the start of the season most people were saying Tomlinson is past his best, too slow, lacks agility and if he’s playing we are in trouble now the coaching staff are a rabble as he’s not playing when we have our best three talls available down back? he is depth and a solid back up. he played well when needed now he’s back at Casey.

I've been to Docklands a fair bit over the past 20 years or so. So i reckon i do have a leg to stand on in the argument that the atmosphere is poor. Me not attending one game would not change that. I don't just mean the atmosphere the fans generate, the place has all the warmth of a parking lot at an abandoned factory. Walk into the G you feel the history, the vibe, the atmosphere. So Pies fans are louder than us and more passionate? Not sure I agree. they are quiet when they are playing poorly. to be honest I think it is just the numbers that turn up. and when you have hundreds of thousands of fans, you'll get big attendances.

no problem with your comment mate. I expect the players to turn up coz they get paid very well and they have that responsibility. Me on the other hand, pay to watch and cheer. Footy is my hobby and it's my right to watch/attend as it suits me. Docklands is a cold, empty soulless place with no atmosphere. by the way, the Pies are the envy of the comp as they have 5 times the supporter base as we do. If their supporter base was the same size the attendances would be the same

Docklands is a hell hole. Really struggling to get the interest up to attend. Might just watch at the pub

doesn’t reward VFL form? what about Chandler, McVee, JVR, Bowey, Woewodin, Smith to name a few We develop players really well and don’t rush them. most players who come through play good footy from game 1.

Out Fritsch In JVR Smith will get a good run of games with Fristch out, assuming he stays fit. He was poor on the weekend but hopefully he can strong a few good games together
