Did anyone catch a replay I think about ten minutes into the last quarter after a Hawthorn goal where Garland hunched to the ground with his hands on his head. About two seconds later Harry ran over to him and fervently picked him up from the ground. Garland didn't remonstrate but he just looked mentally and physical gone. I think Lynden Dunn then came over and gave garland a pat on the head. Is this where the mentality is at with this club? I don't blame Garland with the crap he has put up with over the past 8 years but I thought it was quite telling about the mindset of our players and it is obviously quite foreign to the environment Harry has been in.

Most players rarely take more than 60 contested marks per year (just below 3 per game). In fact, since 2011, Travis Cloke is the only player to have taken more than 60 (2011-95 and 2012-73). I think you'll find that Franklin (at around 2 a game or just below) would be in the upper percentile of contested marking over the past 4-5 years. And people can come up with statistics to prove anything Saty, forfty percent of all people know that!

2013 took 26 contested marks in 2013 as he was predominately playing up the ground. If he played out the 50 then he would have had at least double that. 2012 he took 39. 2011 he took 39. 2010 he took 32. I don't think Franklin has made a career out of uncontested marking. Would love Fitzy to average at least on per game if he gets a gig.

Franklin was 2nd year last year for contested marks with 51 only behind Hawkins who had 56...

I don't think they would say any of our players are below average. We should be a really good kicking team then (both field and goal).
