I've finished watching the replay now... so we won by 45 points when:

    - We were only up by 17 with 12 minutes to go

    - Lever had the worst game I've seen him play in the red and blue

    - Fritsch was terrible

    - Sparrow and Langdon were barely noticed

    - JVR hardly got near it for 3/4s

    - Petracca was well below his best

That's not great for the dogs. For us, it's good to see that we can find a way to win, but we'll need to be a lot better against the top sides.

Trac was great today. Lovely link up plays and touch, heaps of score involvements.

  2. I don't know why but I especially love BBB kicking snags and competing, watching him play well makes me very happy.

Accidentally swore in front of the kiddo in the first quarter when I saw TMac down back, but I'll admit it worked and he played well (just a bit slow on the transition kicks tho).

Choo-choo was immense. Wish I'd been at the G when he came off in the 4th. We all love him and it's obvious the coaching group and players do too.

Gawn just went "Yeah, nah" after last week, back to his best.

May harnessing his rage is awesome.

Billings was great as well, let's us move Salem back and give a good kicking option so adds layers to the team. Should have played a full game last week.

Just softly as well, there were plenty of people upset (myself included as well) last week, but I'd politely suggest most of us weren't thinking the season was over, but the selected team was off. The mix was much better today, lots to work on but looked much better.

  3. Thanks everyone for the reports on the hit out today.

Unfortunately for me I was playing cricket in Hobart heat (so mid high twenties but the sun was spicy) in a forty over aside match and we only had nine blokes, and we had to bowl first.

Would have much preferred to watch the game haha.

  4. I wasn't a fan of the choice to start with, but KISS were actually pretty good.

Big Stadium atmosphere... the kids running around, FLAMES!! it was mint.

Next year. Slipknot or Nine Inch Nails.

Duality or Closer would get the crowd pumping.

  5. My wife who calls it sportsball just asked me who won.

    I said Collingwood.

She likes to sing and started "Good Old Collingwood"

In front of our two year daughter.

    We are having words hehe.*

    😈

*At least when the kiddo got up from her nap she demanded Peppa Pig while I was watching the GF in the loungeroom, so I went to watch in another room and as I was switching it over she said "Bye, Bye. Go Dees!".

  6. The contested grind game with superior fitness in the 4th quarter to run over seems to be the game plan.

Stops us losing by much, but every kick at goal is so important and mentally we seem turn to water if it's not going well from the start.

No dynamism, winning through flashes of brilliance to get us over the line against good teams. But it just turns into a toss up.

Goal kicking has been a problem for a few years (even including 2021), don't know if it's the entries or whatever but yuck. Turned off the after game commentary against the Pies and Blues, praising the teams who won (I get that's what they need to do) for toughness, their "will to win" etc. makes me sick when we just pooped the bed.

Pedestrian, boring, foreseable and a waste of our list.

Still think we have a list that can win another flag , but things have to change.

That's one of my favorite wins for long time.

A team with such pride in the jumper that instead of taking the easy, cruisy path, as highlighted in the fox stats noted above, they dug in and said, nup, the dees win.

    Just fantastic.

I am so proud to be a dees fans.

    Agreed.

All week the media talk was about port winning and us resting players and not caring.

We're not that kind of team and I love it. Well done to the coaching staff and the players.

  8. If he's g2g Fritta in.

    Out: Laurie

    Sub: Smith.

Not sure the wing positions have been talked about enough this year and I feel like a bit of a goose saying it, but wouldn't mind seeing Brayshaw play the defensive wing position again before finals with a view to making the magic happen again.

Not sure who we would bring in for Hunter tho, so probably keep it the way it is.
