  1. What is the point of pointing?
  2. Wouldn't it be funny if Essendon were innocent. They had a program that may have been at the cutting edge but legal, after the AD tip-off they employed people to come in at midnight and destroy all the records. Now they can't defend themselves. hahahahahhahahhahahahhh. I think that is better than if they did cheat. The players will be OK and the club cops it. Love it.
  3. Bomber Thompson on AFL360 said he saw the Thymomodulin spread sheet. "On A3 paper the big one, an excel spreadsheet." So in order to print an excel spreadsheet first it needs to be on a computer. If it was on a computer there should be copies. Delloittes did a forensic search and collected copies of everything. Everything collected would have been documented. My guess is that the "Hird dog ate my lunch document" was collected and exists. Also it is inconsequential to the case in that it was a draft cover up document or related to other supplements. Either way it is another red herring.. Edit: Or the EFC destroyed it. Which if it could prove their innocence would be ironic.
  4. Beeb I heard that he would turn up to the opening of a fridge.
  5. WORLD RECORD CASE http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/essendon-34-to-set-world-precedent-former-asada-boss-richard-ings-20150513-gh0s9p.html edit: From the Age article The matter is unprecedented because it will be the first time that WADA has appeared before CAS prosecuting an allegation of anti-doping violations against several players without the benefit of a positive drug test, Ings said. He said it was likely WADA believed there had been violations at Essendon and viewed the AFL tribunal's decision as setting a precedent which would be followed elsewhere.
  6. Pretty sure Jones is carrying an injury , his shoulder is giving him trouble. A mere mortal would have missed 4 to 6
  7. Like Arnie and Danny deVito. No, I mean the way they run and turn the surprising hardness when bumped. They both go straight at the ball and are very hard to knock off line. Cameron is a far more natural kick. Edit: I likened T Mac with Jeremy Cameron
  8. I think he's great, and will get better. I suppose I am gun shy after Scully, Blease, Trengrove, Watts, Gysberts, Cook, must I go on. I hope he is a star and plays a long and successful career for us. I am seeing what you are seeing and I'm excited, but i'm trying to keep a lid on it.
  9. And comparing him to Lockett and Dunstall isn't? My point was it is very easy to be carried away with good performances from a young player, a point I think I exemplified by mentioning Gysberts. He averaged around 20 possessions per game in his first season. Good judges nominated him twice for the rising star. I rate Hogan, he could be anything, John Coleman, David Schwartz, Paul Salmon, Alan Jackovich, Max Bailey, Luke Molan if you get my drift. Let us not get carried away let's just enjoy the journey while it lasts.
  10. Chill please gentlemen. I remember a certain Jordan Gysberts getting 26 disposal in his first game and a rising star nomination in his 2nd game. A second rising star nomination in round 11 the next year with 30 disposals against Essendon. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.
  11. Why would they play for peanuts? Don't you think 2nd level clubs would be clamoring to get a Patton, Boyd, Petracca, Brayshaw, Kelly, Bontempelli, Aish, Salem.......? Surely the AFL clubs would be very interested in players playing for their feeder clubs. Perhaps a pre draft to VFL SANFL WAFL etc clubs, those pre drafted could be put on a contract from the AFL similar to Cricket Australia contract.
  12. Hi, Sendoff, Thanks for the list of your favorite 34 past and present Essendon players.
  13. The convicted drug dealer and friend of James Hird is a class act. He says he won't be giving evidence. Then "This is a little like the field umpire making a decision and then going to the video replay," Charter said. That sounds like a good idea to me if it gets the correct decision.
  14. I think they got a free case of premium beer.
  15. Well I just did a google search, guess what? Google doesn't know either. Wikipedia - nothing! Macca it's a mystery.
  16. LDVC I had an earlier tete a tete with someone here that I shall not name many months ago on a very similar topic, It is sensitive ground and I agree it should be deleted.
  17. Fair point, I have also focused on recent drafts as I think we are getting better. If the draft age was raised to 20 I think the chances for success would be greater. This would also be a bonus for second level competitions like the VFL. I agree wholeheartedly on the early drafts, they were hit & miss.
  18. Yes Ash, but are you prepared to agree that the Essendon 34 have not been found innocent 2 times as you previously declared? Like early Lance Armstrong they are yet to be found guilty.
  19. I agree Macca the early drafts were a lucky dip, but I think you would agree that the strike rate is better now. Last years top 20 from AFL.com http://www.afl.com.au/news/features/players-top-50 1 Ablett Father son 2 Fyfe pick 20 3 J Selwood pick 7 4 L Franklin pick 5 5 S Pendelbury pick 5 6 J Roughead pick 2 7 Dangefield pick 10 8 Hodge pick 1 9 Boak pick 5 10 R Gray pick 55 11 J Kennedy pick 40 12 J Watson father son 13 T Cotchin pick 2 14 M Priddis pick 31 15 D Heppell pick 8 16 N Reiwoldt pick 1 17 S Johnson pick 24 18 S Mitchell pick 36 19 T Rockliff pick 5 20 A Sandilands pick 33 As I said Macca most of the top 20 players were top 20 picks or father sons.
  20. Once upon a time i would speed on Springvale Rd. And I mean speed, 160kmh twice a day every day for years. I was never caught. Am I innocent of speeding or not guilty according to the law? I know I was guilty but I was never caught. PS:- It was 100mph when I did it. For legal reasons let us presume that the above is a hypothetical.
  21. Ash, do not believe that serpent coach. NO innocence has been found, nor guilt for that matter. If the world governing body appealed a local decision involving you, do you really think that they would pursue that without believing there was guilt to be found? It beggars belief that otherwise intelligent people confuse not guilty with innocence. Was Lance Armstrong innocent all those years or just not guilty yet? That is Essendon.
