Bugg, Tyson and Harmes aren't up to it. That wasn't a free kick against Jetta and the umps have been sh*t tonight. Brisbane can only score if they get frees.

He has been one of our harder runners though, has been running both ways.

They shouldn't have to learn on game day. They should be learning at training or at Casey. It isn't good enough at this level. Tyson's kicking, turnovers and lack of awareness hurt us as a side too often. Bugg just plain and simply is a sh*t kick.

That was a great chase by Hogan. He has got pace.

Get Harmes off the ground FFS. He is a liability. I said it last week.

Hibberd is absolutely killing it. So clean.

Roos don't much rate Witherden.

Far from soft. That kid is as hard as nails. I can feel those tackles from here. They thud.

Salem's tackling is fierce.

Injured, looks bad. He will be out for a while. Couldn't happen to a better bloke.

The thing with Brayshaw is that he can't play anywhere else bar midfield.

Bugg is a useless kick. I would rather not see him in the side. So frustrating. But eventually the selectors will see it. Tyson in for Maynard is a no brainer. It should be a wet game and Tyson is twice the player in the wet as he is in normal conditions. I don't expect a close game. I believe we will blow this one apart, even in the wet. We should win very comfortably. Far too much firepower in the middle.

Hannan is a serious player. Talented, versatile and has upside. Very impressed with him. He will improve from week 1.

Gawn put himself in a position to mark the ball and give us a chance to win. Good on him. Sometimes things go your way and other times they don't, but at least he had a dip. Many players wouldn't have wanted that ball. Fair play to Max.

1. Gawn was influential. It is absolutely massive for us to have him fully fit and back out there. 2. Petracca has arrived as a mid and looks to be of elite quality. What he did against a top side in Geelong suggests he should be able to replicate that against lesser quality sides (which is what we need because we struggle against some of them). 3. Clayton Oliver is already right up there was the best mids in the game. We knew that after last year but he looks even fitter this year, and that is great for MFC. Three very important pieces of the puzzle. We need these guys on their game so we can continue to push the ball down to Hogan. Hopefully Salem can remain in the midfield and allow us to move the ball inside 50 effectively.

I like Maynard - even have him in my supercoach side - but I would drop him back to the VFL. I think Maynard has a lot of scope for improvement, and could be a good midfielder, but he needs to sort out his timing. He needs to learn there is more than one speed. At times on Saturday he went in very hard, didn't slow down, and given away a silly free kick off of an overly aggressive tackle. It was silly. He needs to learn to tread water and go hard when its called for - like Oliver does. Usually it comes with experience, but he should be told this, and dropped back to the VFL to work on it. Viney used to have a similar problem. There are players who can help him. So for mine.. Out: Maynard, Harmes. In: Brayshaw, Tyson. Also, ANB is on notice. He had a poor game.

Good game of football. Could have went either way, but at least we given ourselves a chance to win it. Well done to the boys.
