Brayshaw is dominating.

If you drank everytime Bugg turned it over you'd be in trouble.

At this point I think we can disregard Gary having any loyalty to anyone but himself.

Kreuzer is the 3rd best ruckman in the league. He was the dominant ruckman of 2017. He has two bad games due to injury and limited prep and all the sudden Judd is out of line for calling him a top 3 ruck man. Matthew Kreuzer is no joke as a ruckman.

Gus is a massive upgrade on Tyson IMO. Its a good IN if it turns out that way this weekend. I respect Brayshaw. I personally would have given up playing with all those concussions, but he has stuck to his guns, and from all reports has adjusted his game (to minimise the chance of concussion). Was in the bests for Casey so deserves his spot. I hope he does well.

Wagner is an impact player down back. He doesn't look like much but he is effective. Sometimes he may even turn it over, but then he pops up minutes later with a run down tackle or a smother. He adds something down back. He is tough. He will also take the game on. I have to respect what he brings to the table.

It was a lot to give up for a bloke who doesn't even man the oppositions best forward. Adelaide fans were right when they were saying Melbourne are selling the farm for a third up intercept defender. At this point I would try giving Lever a run in the midfield.

Kruezer is top 5. He was the most dominant ruckman in the league last year. He has had a slow start to the year because he came into the season under and injury cloud - which is the only way Grundy gets the better of him. A fully fit Kruezer is an absolute beast. Not only is he top 5, but a lock for top 3. I don't think Grundy compares to Gawn, but I could be wrong. Grundy did look good last week but I suspect that is only because Kruezer was underdone and slightly injured.

I think we will win by over 40 points. Hawthorn are still on the slide IMO. We are a side on the up, who hasn't played up to our potential this year. I think it clicks on Sunday and we win rather easily. Gawn negates McKovey in the ruck, Oliver gets first use, and Hogan kicks a bag.

Oliver hunts the ball and Tom Mitchell is always seems to have the ball. Oliver has the type of closing speed that could trouble Tom Mitchell, there is no doubt about that. If the Hawks do send a tag to Oliver then we can just send Oliver to Mitchell and free up Salem - who can be very damaging by foot on his day.

He played well on the weekend, but games prior to that have been poor. Good to hear he has hired a personal trainer over the summer because he is probably one of our most talented players. If we can get the most out of him it would be a big boost for the rest of the group.

Maybe bring Hunt in to run with Isaac Smith. Outside of Hunt I am not sure we have anyone with the pace to run with Smith.

Next time we sell the farm for a back man can we at least make sure he is able to play on the oppositions best forward. Brown is absolutely dominating us.

Same. I can't bear to watch Tyson continue to turn it over. I just can't stomach some of our players. They must have something on Goodwin.

Toumpas was sh*t even before the draft. I thought he was hopeless in the Nationals that year, but like myself and many on footy sites, perhaps the recruiters got sucked in by the hype. I know I did. I watched the Nationals of Toumpas and came away thinking that kid is useless I hope we don't pick him, but then after the chatter elsewhere you start to buy into the hype. Wines on the otherhand was exceptional in the Nationals, and is the player he is now. It was bad drafting and our drafting experts were no better than us mugs when assessing players those bad years.

Oliver will be better than Judd. We have obviously hit the jackpot with this kid. Not only did we go out on a limb to take him so early in the draft, but we went out on a limb to trade into the pick we taken him at. Whoever came up with that idea and pulled the trigger on it deserves a medal. Drafting the right talent is half the battle for us. Good we got this one right, and thankfully lady luck also came our way with St Kilda overlooking Petracca. Its really set us up.

If he was good at it he would be still there. He wasn't good enough at it to keep his position. Brayshaw is an out and out midfielder, and is actually a quite capable one. He does need to make some adjustments - in order to limit his potential for head knocks - but if he can do that (and it looks as though he is making inroads there), then there is a position for him in the midfield. He would be better than Salem (who is unwilling to actually go in and get the footy and prefers to sit stationary off of the pack). Brayshaw shouldn't be disappointed that he is at VFL, but should use it as an opportunity to work on his game because that third midfield spot is up for the taking (Tyson isn't good enough - lacks awareness and is a poor kick), and Salem is unwilling to go in and get the football. Until Viney gets back its there for the taking. I hope Brayshaw steps up because he is capable, he is the guy who would do well in that spot and clearly wants it.

Ahwell, his value has just gone through the roof.

It was good to get the win. For a while there it looked unlikely. Some positive signs today from Hogan and Garlett. Continued excellence from Oliver. I thought Wagner looked better today. Then there is Bugg, Tyson and Harmes - just not up to it. Those three were costly today. We need to look at improving our depth if we are to challenge consistently.

Can someone in the coaching staff PLZ teach Christian Salem how to play midfield. There is no use sitting off the pack. Go in and get the FKN thing.
