Thanks again for running the tipping comp Macca... With 10 minutes to go & a 19 point lead I thought to myself "We're actually going to win this & the I'll take out the post season tipping comp" haha... I feel like I don't even want to go back & follow next year (I know I will) everything fell into place this year for us & it was all there to be taken with a 28-3 lead. I look back at week 16 when Seattle miss a 30 odd yard FG against Arizona to open the #2 seed for us & I had this feeling from there things were going to go our way & they did right up until the last quarter. It's a hell of a long way back to the Superbowl, not sure what the stats say but I couldn't imagine too many losing sides writing the wrong the following year. Shannahan will take the 49ers job so we will be with a new OC, who knows how that will pan out, will we learn a new scheme after what worked so well for us this year ? All I know today was a missed opportunity, on the surface you say we are a young defense & in year 2 of Quinn..We were ahead of schedule & going up against Brady & Bellicheck we had a free hit at a superbowl but that all went out the window with a 28-3 lead, we chocked... Plan & simple & it was probably the offense in the end that cost us, the defense was hot all game but was too gassed in the end to make a stop. This will hurt for a long time... Thanks for letting me vent... Go Dees!

I just don't get it... You have the ball on your own 20 yard line, you call 3 run plays and kick the field goal!! Why get fancy & call pass plays. Just run 3 times, take time off the clock & make it a 11 point lead with 4 minutes to go.. Baffling
-
I honestly am lost for words.... I just don't see how you give up a 28-3 lead. As good as Ryan has been all year & for the first 3 quarters, he had to throw that ball away when he got sacked when in FG range... This game is litreally a game of inches, Edelmans catch just sums it up.
-
I actually can not belive this... We wont stop brady here, they have all the momentum.. This is an absolute nightmare
-
I wont be settled until it's litreally impossible for them to come back
-
Can not believe this... Brady pick 6 for a 21-0 lead... This defense is on fire! Still nervous though
-
Have been calm for 2 weeks but the nerves are starting to kick in... Hopefully get to sleep tonight. God knows what I'll be like if the Dees ever make the big one

Falcons 34 - Patriots 31 Matt Ryan MVP (Freeman a smokey)

From a Falcons point of you the best way to get Ryan off his game is to bring pressure & get him off his spot.. The problem I think the Pats could have is if they bring a 3 or 4 man blitz how do you then double Julio (as many predict Bellicheck will) & keep Sanu & Gabriel in check aswell as Coleman & Freeman who are very good recievers out of the backfield... Maybe that's where my quiet confidence is coming from. I honestly don't think they can slow our offense & as good as Brady is, he doesn't have the range of weapons Ryan does.. Having said that Brady is the GOAT so I would never be overly confident going up against him especially in a SB as well the mastermind Bellicheck, coming up with ways to stop the offense. Ps: I hope your all on board the Falcons
-
Run game is good.. The 2 pronged attack of Coleman & Freeman is up there with the best once they get going. We were ranked 5th in the run game which some people forget & just think we are pass happy team... I read somewhere in 3 of our losses we rushed for under 50 yards. If we can establish the run we'll go along way to winning I think... Shannahan will surely have a well thought out game plan drawn up. I just hope the young defense can get some pressure on Brady & make some stops which is easier said then done! I've been optimistic troughout the playoffs... For some reason I'm quietly confident heading into the SB. Patriots haven't faced a top 10 ranked offense all year.. The highest ranked offense they faced was Seattle & they beat them comfortably
-
You got the day off for it ? I'm getting it off one way or another!
-
Well we've scored TD's on our opening drive the last 8 games, heres hoping we make it 9 & put the Pats behind the 8 ball
-
I think like the GB game it's whether our defense can make stops which against Brady isn't easy but I thought we'd struggle to hold Rodgers & we kept him to 0 points until the 3rd... We know what our offense will bring, it's just whether the inexperienced defense can get the job done.
-
We started out more of a zone defense but Quinn has adjusted a bit as the season has gone on and played more man to man
-
You'd think Lacy will help the Packers in the run game once fit next year. Still can't believe we've made the Super Bowl... Did not think in year 2 of Quinn we'd be there already but we've taken advantage of an even NFC year. Funny I've watched a few NFL shows the past couple of days & how the same people who called our defense out all year are saying how much it's improved which it has over the home stretch/playoffs but like I wrote in here out defense was never as bad as the rankings suggested, when we got 2+ scores up late in games they'd go into preservation mode & give up junk yards & scores. It'll be interesting to see how the young group (4 rookies & 2 2nd years) hold up against Brady on the big stage

I might have a bet each way ?... We lose the SB but I win the demonland post season tipping comp, great consolation prize!
-
Thanks Macca... That offense is too good. Injuries further crueld you guys from the opening kick off. Bring on the SB, not sure if I want Pats or Steelers...
-
Davonte Adams is under an injury cloud too, McCarthy said he wont practice until Saturday... Saw the injury report for GB this morning, had a long list but majority would be active come Sunday you'd think
-
Falcons 35 - Packers 34 Genuinely can't believe I'm tipping us to make a SB. If I wasn't a Falcons fan I'd have the scores swapped around. Doing a dodgey at work Monday gotta be home to watch this live Patriots 27 - Steelers 24
-
The way Rodgers & the Packers won that game with 10 seconds remaining was the exact reason why I didn't want to play them.. Would have taken Dallas in Dallas over the Packers at home, not too confident against Rodgers!! But one of us will be there Macca (Packers have had their turn, give a small time team thats never won a SB a chance )

Wrapt with how the Falcons played.. Offense just keeps on putting up points but I was impressed with the defense, kept Wilson to 225 yards & had two INT. Intresting tomorrow in the NFC game. I'd rather go to Dallas in the NFCCG rather than have Rodgers come into the Dome. Feels good to finally have a successful sporting team since the dees in 2006!

Falcons 31 - Seattle 24 Patriots 34 - Texans 10 Cheifs 24 - Steelers 21 Cowboys 27 - Packers 30

Bad call, at the time I thought the Giants would take the momentum after scoring the TD on the back of that failed 4th & inches.... Not to be. Rodgers has been unbelievable since mid way through the 2nd qrt (the Oline had played a lot better too). That hail mary at the half was unreal... Packers & Rodgers keep on keeping on & all without Jordy Nelson . Glad we're on the other side, Packers are going to be hard to beat if their offense keeps this up. I'd favour GB in Dallas next week...
