  1. I went into the Hawthorn game with a bad feeling & it come to fruition & I went into the Adelaide game with confidence & was proven right both times... Unfortunately I have the same feeling about tomorrow's game as I do the Hawthorn one. It's been a big week for the club with the Hogan news & there is always the let down after such an emotional charged win like Adelaide.. For me tomorrows game is as big as last weeks, last week we had nothing to lose.. played with freedom, which is why I thought we'd win, we will know if this club has flicked the switch with how we play tomorrow, in all reality we should take last weeks form into North & steam roll them but I've been burnt too many times to believe that will happen.. My head says North by 8 points (Hope I'm wrong) My heart says Dees by 41 points
  2. He'd certainly be in the squad of 40 at this point... He'd have to be close to the 22, but selectors would go the more popular option of a Betts/Greene just like Jetta would be being overlooked
  3. These clowns did rank our midfield the worst in the comp tho.... https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/05/18/demon-is-best-small-forward-in-the-comp-luff/
  4. [censored]! There has to be serious doubts on his career now unfortunately
  5. 6 - Hibberd 5 - Salem 4 - Vince 3- Viney 2- Petracca 1 - Jetta
  6. Dare I say, I told you all so ? You beauty!
  7. I was quietly confident before the Hogan withdrawal.. Not so much now. Jacobs will absolutely dominate us which in some ways is better.. you know we'll lose 90% of the hit outs makes it more predictable than say having Spencer & losing 65%-70% so our mids are going to have to be on their game, which isn't really Adelaides strength so if we can win the midfield battle & give first use to our forwards & stem the flow inside Adelaide's F50 we are a chance.. Hopefully a smaller, mobile forward line can trouble the likes of Talia & Haritgan F%#k it, talked myself back into it... Dees by 4 points!
  8. Numerous journalists on twitter
  9. Hogan offically ruled out... Huge loss, not so confident now
  10. Hogan missed training due to illness today, guess their keeping Weideman as back up
  11. Which is the sole reason he shouldn't be picked & played across half forward.. Goodwins all about trying to create turnovers in the forward half, these are generated by pressure which is caused by players with leg speed to put the pressure on. I love Trengove but he's playing days are over, people say "yeah his slow but" there's no buts you can't be slow in todays football. The reason he plays well at VFL level is because the speed of the game is drastically slower than AFL.. I hope he some how proves me wrong
  12. Litreally just backed us at $6.25.. I knew we'd lose to Hawthorn, for some reason I have a feeling we will push Adelaide right to the line. Edit: Did anyone else watch Lewis on 360 ? Said in key indicators we we right up there with the last 4 premiership sides but there are 2 areas we really need to improve & we are on the verge of it all clicking... Fingers crossed it's this week!
  13. He went up against Preuss on the weekend & had 28 hitouts, Preuss had 71. Obviously Preuss went up against Keitly aswell but I'd say Sam Jacobs this week who is probably the #1 ruck in the comp atm isn't the right time...
  14. I'm not disputing we could have won all those games or haven't been in them, my point is we lost those games due to inexperience expect maybe Richmond. A side whos average games is up and over the 100 mark would have the experience & composure not to let freo kick 7 in a quarter, wouldn't give up the lead against freo in the last minute, cough up 2 goals in the last minute against geelong in the 3rd quarter, wouldn't come to the Hawthorn game with a poor attitude & get 6 goals behind
  15. Agreed.. Call me insane but I'm tipping an upset this week. I'm taking the $6.25 on offer.
  16. Whilst he hasn't been setting the world on fire at Casey, Kent is the type of player who could come back in & have an impact at AFL level even if not in great form at Casey.. He's a better footballer at AFL level & is certainly a better option then JKH. I'd bring Kent in just for his X factor. He has pace, can take a mark, kick a goal...
  17. I wrote this is the post match thread.. Just my thoughts Have had a bit more of a think about it & for whatever reason our game style & play changed in that third quarter & was like the play we saw against the saints.. The dinky stupid 1m handball to flat footed players was replaced by clever link up chain handballs to moving players & we looked awesome moving the footy. 3 qrt time ruined our momentum & Hawthorn (like other sides this year) were clever enough in the 4th to keep possession of the ball & deny it from us, which is our problem... We can't get the footy off sides & try to wrestle back the momentum just like the Freo game & it's vise versa when sides have a run on us, we can't get the footy & posses it to stop the rot... I have this feeling at some point this year it will all click & we will explode and kick 25 goals & dominate a side from start to finish & play like we did in the 3rd term yesterday for 4 quarters... Queens birthday would be fine with me
  18. Well what is it then ? Are the likes of Petracca, Hunt, Hogan, Oliver, Salem, Frost not up to it ? Goodwins not up to it ? Our older heads in Vince, Jones, Lewis, McDonald aren't up to it ? Why haven't we won these winnable games ? My opinion is we wont be a good side until the younger players I mentioned added to Stretch, Kent, Viney, Brayshaw, ANB are the ones driving the club once they all reach 80+ games and it's Not Vince, Jones, Lewis

  20. Our inconsistentency week to week... Quarter to quarter & 3-4 win/loss record, losing winnable games begs to differ that we aren't a year off it & lack the experience to get the job done
  21. I've come to accept the fact we are still at least a year off it... People forget we are in year 1 of Goodwin, yes he might have been pulling a few strings last year but it was still up to Roos. IF roos was still around we would have a better win/loss recored not because Goodwins not a good coach but because we would be in year 4. We have a new coach & learning a more attacking game style which was never going to be achieved in 1 year as much as we all hoped & wished it would. We are the youngest side in the comp week in week out.. We are not a top 8 side yet as we all hoped & expected, we will hopefully match last years 10 wins & the lessons learnt this year will project us up starting next year. The sooner we all accept where we are at the better, which is a young side who are not quiet up to it atm.
  22. S#it just realised we win this & there is only 1 game separating us from 2nd.. Stakes just got a little higher
  23. This game has me seriously nervous... They are due to put in a reasonable performance & unfortunately a lot of sides have a bit of a mental edge on us knowing we can be mentally fragile.. They'll be up for the fight from the start, this isn't going to be a walk in the park like the saints had last week against them. This is HUGE test to see where this football club is at, Melbourne of old would drop this game... We lose this & finals is a long road.
