Anyone given the "Quarterback" series a go on Netflix ? I'm only a couple of episodes in but interesting to get an insight into the life of a QB.

Yep, I've mentioned here in other topics... We are completely wasting an elite list who should be in their prime. Talks of a dynasty were a little premature but also correct... With the list we should be playing in Prelim, Grand Finals & winning them.

Agreed that the players look as if they are playing scared & safe, not brave enough to take on the risky option for the fear of turning the footy over. We saw this throughout last season & it seems as though the coaches went to task in the office season to be more attacking & we saw that throughput the first part of this year however as I mentioned I feel they thought we were too easy to move the ball against & have reverted back to the old method we are seeing now... It worked on KB the problem & to be honest this style of a grind is more suitable to finals footy than free flowing (for the past few years anyway, Collingwood may be bucking the trend). I'm not saying I agree with how we are playing as I personally think we are shot this year especially with Fritsch missing for an extended period but I feel we sure trying to tinker with a few things to give us the best shot at a run towards the back end of the year but my view is injuries & unsettledness will catch us.

The shift really came after the Fremantle game… We were scoring extremely well up until that point of the season but we’re getting opened up defensively. That day Fremantle moved the ball way to easy against us & exposed us defensively. I think we have reverted back to the slow & controlled ball movement since the Carlton game which is evident by scores against. No coincidence that our backline in particular May was all at sea now have started to strengthen . The slow build up & long kicking to the pockets is a clear plan to let us set up defensively behind the ball & not be easily transitioned on, if we have kicked straight the last 6 weeks would we be talking about this, I’m not sure the shift in game plan is the way to go but sides can’t score against us, we can fix the accuracy in front of goal & tweak the F50 entries, it’s just wether we can get the balance right with the season running out of time to correct it.

We are wasting an elite list in their prime… Dead set joke

Keath & Bruce you cannot be serious ? Keath has never been any good & is completely washed up & as for Bruce he is even further washed up, has the turning circle of the titanic. No thanks.

The main issue is the dog hungry pressure…. It’s not there at the moment. Pressure on the opposition ball carrier gives the defensive half time to set up behind the ball, intercept & get our turnover game going it is also the pressure in the front half which allows us to create forward half turnovers which are gold in modern footy or at worst lock the ball in, create a stoppage allowing us to set up how we want behind the ball. To Fremantle credit they denied us the football yesterday, chip mark down the ground to not allow us to get the style of game we wanted to play to our strengths. I am also of the belief that we have gone into this season knowing our front half game needed work so we’ve traded some defensive aspects of our game to become more attacking going forward however it’s left us vulnerable in the back half hence why May & Lever looks all at sea.

I'm still fuming after that... Can't turn it on for 20 minutes & think that's enough. Positives are if that is the best Port has got well we nearly beat them playing 20 mins of football.

No doubt he will request a trade at seasons end, I think he is a little bit stiff to be on the outter at the moment, always plays his role when he gets the opportunity. Get the feeling he is a role player in a good side, not sure how he would go in a middle to lower side.

I've put together a best 22 in my time following the Dees.. My earliest memories are from 1998... So basing this off from 1998 to current day. FB: Whelan May Frawley HB: Lever Rivers Jetta C: Green Jones Yze HF: Bruce Schwarz Davey FF: Farmer Neitz Robertson R: Gawn Oliver Petracca INT: J.Viney J.McDonald J. White N.Brown Found it a little harder than I first thought.. Especially with the lean years around the Neeld era. Finding a CHF wasnt easy & the ox was past his best by then but couldnt think if anyone else. I suspect there will be a few current players in this list in a few years time. Will be interested in others teams.

Fingers crossed it’s not the hammy he torn badly a couple of years back... Yeah it’s seems only Jan 20th not biggie but missing a minimum of 3-4 weeks at this time of year is a [censored] time. Playing catch up for the first part of the season.
