Yep, that seems to be the case.  I think it would be a straight swap for their future 1st round.  In fairness that would more than likely be a top 3 pick.

Nth don’t rate Curtin and Dogs won’t take another tall.

5 becomes 6 or 7 with academy picks. It's still a bit of a gamble to assume WC are as bad next year as they were this year. Some more luck with injuries and 11 games at Optus...

I have heard that WC might be after our pick 5.

Presumably they think Curtain will be available there.

Would we be willing to trade it for their future first plus something, and use 13 and an early second to get 10 from GC or 7 from Geelong?

Assuming Oliver stays the process has been interesting in looking at how clubs value draft picks over proven players.

No matter how you look at it Oliver is in the top fifteen of present players and at 26 has another say 7 years to give.

The fact that presumably neither Eagles or North were willing to float picks 1 or 2 plus a sweetener intrigues me.

The same happened last year with Jackson where we got 2 pick 13's (by a fluke the future 13 morphed into 5) for a pick 3 proven key position player.

To the uninitiated the market seems skewed and if that be the market compensatory draft picks, Academy and father-son picks are incredibly valuable

It's amazing compared to other sports. High NHL draft picks are traded like there's no tomorrow

    I would’ve thought Bombers.

confirmed. ”Ms Allan says she's an Essendon fan but will be supporting Collingwood on Saturday, because they're the Victorian team” - abc

But clearly not that strongly. If she was a die hard Bomber she'd be barracking for Brisbane

Duty of care before he launched.

This is the issue and where I think the AFL has stuffed up. Allowing the 'he had a right to launch' argument gives Collingwood exactly what they need. He did not have a right to contest the ball in that way, just as players don't have the right to tackle with a slinging action or bump in a way that hits a player high.

Maynard being suspended won't kill the spoil, like some are claiming. But it will stop people like Maynard acting like a human cannonball

Has anyone heard anything about Max’s foot? Some wild rumours on FB.

Not sure about Max's foot but Clarry has a compression bandage on his left knee in a photo on Instagram (featuring future father daughter Tilly Smith)

Turner got swung forward today and did very well supposedly

Oh, this is interesting. He's too slight to be a key back at the moment, but he has a lot of mongrel, reads the play pretty well and has good hands.

JJ needs to come in next week

  8. The thing we do have going for us is our match fitness (bar injuries, obviously). We are the fittest team still in it, so if we get throught the SF and PF, I wouldn't be concerned coming up against a Collibgwood who's had an extra week's break

He wont get suspended for the bump on brayshaw. You have NFI. The guy jumped in the air, then turned his body and bump a defenceless Bradshaw. Will be lucky to only get 3 weeks

The second part of my response was directed at the headbutt, but no I don't think he'll be suspended for the Brayshaw hit either. Whether he should or not is a different question. I don't think he will
