Either way, Valenti wont make it.
And Cheney is in doubt too.
Agreed Rhino. Neither of them showed me anything yesterday to think they will be part of our premiership tilt or where there likely improvement will come from. Both give their all and dont shirk an issue but have big queries for mine over their flexibility (both), disposal (Valenti) and decision making (Cheney). They will be nothing more than depth and for mine you do not retain players at our stage of list management for depth. I would be delisting both of them at end of year.

Absolutely. Is this a rhetorical question. We did everything we could to lose today and still nearly won. To me that shows that our future may be alot brighter alot sooner than we think.
-
If we are actually trying to win interchange should be B.Moloney, N.Jetta, C.Morton, C.Sylvia.
Bench should be J.Spencer, M.Whelan, S.Valenti, N.Jetta,
I would not be suprised if there are some late changes

To say Brisbane would not take pick 2 or 3 for an injury prone unproven developing ruckman is ludicrous.
To say that we should consider doing it is completely beyond comprehension.
Our midfield is atrocious and although we have alot of potential midfield options they are nothing more than that potential.
If Leunberger is out of contract that is one thing but if not I would leave him be.

Haselby is on the outer over there. He would be worth a look at.
Earlier this year when the shockers won 3 in a row it was Haselby who got them pumping in the middle.
I know he is injury prone, but he sure can play.
Worth a thought for 2010 if we don't get the Draft Picks we want.
I am sure you forgot to insert the emoticon to show you are not serious about us taking a 28 year old plodding midfielder?

6. Moloney
5. Bennell
4. Bartram
3. Petterd
2. Green
1. Bate
-
2. Tingay - crippled by injuries otherwise would have been even better.
3. Tingay - agree with TDs comment if he and the OX had not had injuries I may have seen a premiership cup by now.
2. Viney
1. Grimes (just pre-empting greatness)
-
My understanding is that the kid can't do that!
What is your source?
-
Out Sylvia (suspended), Morton (season has taken its toll on him physically and mentally)
In Dunn (obvious Syvlia replacement), Bell (not much else and 2 BOGs says enough)
I am not a fan of Jetta but the weekend was the first time his performance made me think he could be a useful player. Definitely deserves another game.

Apart from all everyone playing like a team today and the Dee's of old - wasn't it great to see Rivers and Robbo star like they used to - don't want to be negative after a fantastic game, but why can't we play like this more often - with passion?
Are we talking about the same Rivers who turned the ball over 4 times in 5 minutes in the last qtr. Did Rivers play on Kennedy in the second half?

6 - Jamar
5 - Warnock
4 - Grimes
3 - Mclean
2 - Bruce
1 - Robertson

We need someone, with the teeny tiniest forward instinct to bust a bum across half forward.
Lynden Dunn, good endurance, OK overhead and dangerous around goals could fit the criteria.
The midfield experiment is over. Send Lyndon home.
Anyone with me?
Yes if this role does not require Dunn to mark above his head or make any body contact then absolutely.

6 Sylvia
5 Frawley
4 Grimes
3 Davey
2 Bruce
1 Martin (only because a 6th was needed)

I think our forward line is worse than our midfield.
When Matthew Bate is our leading goal kicker that is a good way to measure how good our forward line is.
Its hard to kick goals when the ball is rarely inside 50m and when it is 50% of the time poorly delivered. I know we are last in inside 50s but would be keen know where we sit on score conversion once inside 50m? Our midfield is a much bigger issue than our forwardline. Once we fix that we can see what the forward deficiencies may be.

I'm with you Maric for bartram, maric looks as though he is going to be very Special
Last time I checked Maric was an opportunist forward not a tagger/small backmen. Would have liked to have seen Maric but Jetta has been kicking goals and deserves his chance. With that many outs and Bell getting ommitted and not even an emergency. I would say thats nearly the last we have seen of him. Unless some list management is required.....
-
I only saw the second half but they were 3 goals down and had Lecras playing on the ball and Selwood deep forward.....................

Can someone please put a counter on the site so we can count how many Nik Nat vs Watts threads are created in the next 5 years.
-
Nick Riewoldt on debut: 3 posessions, 1 behind
Lance Franklin on debut: 6 posessions, no score
Jack Watts on debut: 8 posessions, 1 behind
Good work M2W. Lovin' the avatar

Joeboy seems to hate Grimesy!
He was terrific again today. Seriously what more can you expect from a 5th gamer, than to beat his opponent, give us good drive out of the backline and put his body on the line? Terrific.
Thought McLean and Jones were a bit sloppy with their disposal in the wet, but both fought hard and won a fair bit of the ball in close.
Jamar and Sylvia the two really big standouts though.
I am a big fan of Grimes but he was on Didak for large parts of todays game and was taught a lesson. Joeboy has it on the money.

6- Sylvia

Hopefully you are the recruiting manager at one of the 15 other clubs as all Dunn did yesterday was create some trade value. Is not a best 22 player.
