Travis Auld — AFL head of clubs and broadcasting — has hinted that the likes of Melbourne and Essendon could be in for more showpiece games next season. “Obviously West Coast and Collingwood are the two obvious ones (having reached the Grand Final), but you’ve got the Melbournes and the Essendons that look quite exciting after trade period. “So we’ll feature them in the right spots as often as we can.”

I can't find any corroborating evidence of this story. Tony Sheehan posted it on Twitter but all other posts about it seem to be based on that. No news organisations have reported about it yet. Not saying it isn't true but there is no other sources at this time. Here is the Twitter post.
