His Instagram story obviously referencing Max Gawn.

That's not that unusual. Many AFL players follow each other.

  7. Don't despair. He predicted we'd win the premiership in 2019.

Hawthorn now claiming they never spoke with Elliott. “I heard us linked with Jamie Elliott but we haven’t spoken to him and his management,” he told hawthornfc.com.au’s trade podcast. “Rumours go all over the place at this time of year and you can’t control it and if you try to answer them all it becomes a nightmare as well.”

Born and bred was in relation to my veil of negativity that shrouds my Demon supporting life.

If true and our offer and theirs are similar then we are no chance.

He sounded guarded or even cagey about that answer almost like he was going to say "We're not going to discuss potential contracts on the air" and then just muttered the answer out anyway. My gut feel re: the 3 year deal is that it is 3 years plus option for 4th. I still think we're the pawn in trying to get a longer contract at the Pies, which I'm fine with as that's what I would do in his situation. If Collingwood can't or don't blink he might take the Demons up on the offer but it's certainly not his preference.

Do we have any further information as to why the Hawks pulled out. Possible reasons: Told by Elliott & Co. that they are not in the running (Between Pies & Dees) Know he will re-sign with Pies No longer want him for <insert reason here> Can't afford him with <insert player names here> potentially coming into the team
  14. Officially on the market ...

  16. What I meant was that Yze's next role at a club will be as a senior coach. He'll either wait out the senior role at the Hawks or seek it elsewhere. I doubt he will go to another club (even the Dees) as an assistant. It looks like whoever takes the Crows job has an uphill battle with all the players jumping ship.

I'm quite happy with this outcome if we miss out.
  18. If Yze comes home to the Demons it will be as a Head Coach.

  20. I don't get the Lyon hatred either. How was he to know that Neeld would be a dud. We all were very hopeful when he was appointed as he was sold as the Mastermind behind Malthouse and Collingwood's midfield. Our club was a mess from top to bottom at the time and Garry had our best interests at heart. Not every move is a winning move and this one certainly turned to poo but it's not as if it was solely his fault and it seems that he now gets demonised for this one act and people forget the champion that he was. If he's negative about this club in the media then he is no different to 98% of Dees fans on this site and elsewhere.
