Whilst I agree that Mahoney is usually tight lipped during trade negotiations I got the impression that he was backed into a corner (for want of a better phrase) and didn’t mean to mention the 3 years on the table. I don’t see the Brissy meeting as eager. He was going on holidays on Saturday so took a quick detour which is either all part of due diligence or optics in his negotiations with Collingwood. Don’t discount the optics.
