- The Compromised 2020 Draft
Perhaps Mahoney was on to something ... The 2020 AFL draft will be the most compromised ever. ? This is how unhappy clubs now plan to handle it. FULL DETAILS ? https://bit.ly/2V6xXTV- PREGAME: MS01 vs Adelaide
Possibly. That match certainly precludes him from taking part in the practice match against North at Arden Street on the same day. Does his state responsibilities also rule him out of the match in Tassie the next weekend? If so that would mean Nev hasn't played a game with his teammates going into Round 1. Not the end of the world but not ideal.- Injury List 2020
Maybe (pardon another pun) but given the elbows that Ablett was throwing around and getting away with during the season proper I think we can all agree that the tribunal is inconsistent and would appear biased towards certain players.- Longest Current Streaks Not in a Ladder Position
Look away Dees fans ... Ladder streaks - not in this position. Essendon hold a near unbeatable record for the longest period of time without occupying a certain ladder position. From Round 1 1934 to Round 2 1992 they failed to occupy 12th spot on the ladder - a combined total of 1109 rounds. The longest period of time not in 1st place on the ladder belongs to Sydney with 557 rounds from Round 2 1959 to Round 5 1986. Melbourne are currently more than half way to this total - they last occupied top spot in Round 3 2005, 337 rounds ago and need exactly another 10 seasons without sitting 1st to equal that record. --- Useless AFL Stats- SCRATCH MATCH: Essendon @ Casey (21/2/20)
I'd be disappointed if it didn't. Hopefully a few of the Demonland faithful will be there to fill in any gaps.- First Round - All booked!!
Unfortunately for you I'm never going back to that rats nest. Prelim scarred me. I'm still deathly afraid of rubber inflatable eagles.- SCRATCH MATCH: Essendon @ Casey (21/2/20)
I think they're in the same boat as us in terms of listed players being available for this game.- Injury List 2020
So much for going deep into September being an issue. Some teams just have all the luck. Or bad luck in our case. Because MFCSS.- PREGAME: MS01 vs Adelaide
Why?- 2020 Leadership Group
It's only a practice match. Jack is still technically captain and Max isn't available anyway but I get your point. I've noticed that quite a few teams have announced their leadership groups in the past week.- SCRATCH MATCH: Essendon @ Casey (21/2/20)
No idea. Nothing has been announced yet but that doesn't mean they won't. I seriously doubt the Essendon match will be streamed as the game won't feature many Demons listed players. Arden Street game could be streamed like the Pies game last year but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.- Meet the Clarry Mascot

This latest incarnation of both the AFL & Official site are terrible.- First Round - All booked!!
I got my comeuppance when I returned that day.- Burgess' Management Plan for Preseason Games
"We want to make sure the guys are in the best possible shape to attack 22, and hopefully more, games." Darren Burgess will use the pre-season series to get the players right for Round 1. ? ?: Burgess outlines management plans for pre-season games Edit: Didn't see the existing thread.- PREGAME: MS01 vs Adelaide
The best time of the footy year is about to end.- First Round - All booked!!
I attempted this but both @Ethan Tremblay & @McQueen bailed on me.- First Round - All booked!!
You forgot to plus that by 3.- First Round - All booked!!
For our Round 22 2018 match I purchased a premium ticket on the WC Members wing on a ticket reseller website and loved every single minute of it. Best day of football I've ever been to listening to those whingers whinge all day. Worth every overpriced cent I spent. Will only be topped by a Premiership.- PREGAME: MS01 vs Adelaide
Game 1: v Adelaide, Casey Fields (4.40pm AEDT, Saturday, February 22) Game 2: v Hawthorn, University of Tasmania Stadium (7.40pm AEDT, Friday, March 6) Players to watch Luke Jackson: With Max Gawn and Braydon Preuss sidelined with knee injuries, last year's No.3 overall draftee, who has been likened to Brodie Grundy, will get a chance to show his wares on a bigger scale than initially planned. Mitch Brown: Just how the ex-Bomber fits in as a third forward-line tall will be interesting, or if he'll be considered to take his 196cm frame into the ruck given the Gawn and Preuss situation. Kysaiah Pickett: Described as physical, exciting and fast, the small forward is a walking highlights reel. Is capable of providing the spark in the forward line the Dees need. What's new Acclaimed fitness expert Darren Burgess has been cracking the whip in his first pre-season with the club with the players running for longer; their recent documentary To Hell And Back revealing they covered up to 37km one week in November, which is more than they did in any weeks the previous pre-season. With Simon Goodwin admitting in the same documentary "we got our whole summer wrong" last year, there's been big changes to the way they've approached the fitness side of things this time around. Game 1: v Melbourne at Casey Fields (4.40pm AEDT, Saturday, February 22) Game 2: v Gold Coast at Flinders University Stadium, Noarlunga Downs (4.20pm ACDT, Friday, March 6) Players to watch Chayce Jones: The Tasmanian speedster has been one of the stars on the track over the summer. Has added size and should get more time through the midfield in his second season. Fischer McAsey: The sixth overall pick in last year's NAB AFL Draft has been turning heads during pre-season training with his intercept marking. The key defender could play in the early rounds. Tyson Stengle: Kicked five goals in the club's intraclub game last weekend to put himself in the box seat for a small forward role. Only played two senior games last season, but the frontrunner to take the spot vacated by Eddie Betts.- MFC Strategic Plan for Next 4 Years
This is exactly what a club that has been starved of success needs ? Just as he played football with a dashing abandon, Melbourne CEO Gary Pert sets no limits when predicting on-field success. Melbourne throwing caution out the window with ambitious flag call - AFLW: Rd 3 vs St Kilda
