However let me ask this, Do you think Cameron Bruce is soft? Can his disposal often let him down?

The answers are YES......

I don't think he's soft.

I'm probably one of the few that would get a kick out of someone with a user name of Don Cordner saying "awsum" and "lol". welcome to the text generation Don. :D

Me too grazman!

Ill will be the first to admit that he is not alone.

The answers are YES......

Cameron Bruce has had 2 standout games after his Guerra pulled his AC in recent years..... they were a shut down roal on Tarrant on QB a couple years back and last Sunday on a similar role against Steve Johnson.....

Lets not get to excited!!!!

I used to be his number 1 fan years ago, the days when he kicked 7 against Carlton but quite simply the bloke is overpaid.... Again there are plenty of others.....

Even though we must pay 90% of the Cap i think our players worth should only accomadate about 70% of the Salary Cap...

You really show your ignorance!!!

To suggest something that is impossible ie 70% of the salary cap is like asking Jonathon Brown, Chad Cornes , Daniel Kerr, etc, etc, coming to Melbourne tomorrow.

Runner Up B&F 2006, Leading B&F until injured 2007.

Go through the lists of the other 15 AFL teams and find one player who has been in the top 10 B&F for their club for the last 7 years who has played forward, back, midfield and still has kicked more goals than games played .

You have the audacity to name him!

How SOFT are you!

There you go again....

Making bold statments like Cam Bruce is not soft.. Yes he is soft and yes his disposal can often let him down......

I ask you this. Imagine the calibre of player at Melbourne on $400k a year, compare him with a player from from other clubs on the same coin.... I guarentee where overpaying our players.......

It is impossible to over pay players because each club must use 90% of their salary cap each year.

Therefore every player is probably gonna get what they deserve in comparison with their teammates

Yes i know that but thats what it comes down to,... the playing list......

Because our list is so poor average players are on better coin than they should be, hence we are overpaying some of our players

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
