No, and I hope D32 doesn't think so.

I am just pointing out a point of view that the we couldn't survive a rebuild, to attempt to win a flag, has been shown to be just jumping at shadows.

Membership is up, hope is through the roof, and the club is much stronger than it was during the middling years of 2002-2006.

And, by the end of this year, we will have enough talent on the list to compete for a flag in the near future.

I think what it also highlights is how frail the club was, or at least was perceived to be. So much has happened to strengthen the club in the past 18 months which, if it did not occur (record memberships, Stynes' becomming president, the Casey deal, two main sponsors, Demon Heartland, Debt demolition etc.) may have given credence to that way of thinking.

This club feels so different to the one that presented itself for the 2008 season. Ironically, our 150th season also now feels like our first.
