Thsoe people who are talking up the rumours of certain players who might be part of MFC trades for you know who might be interested in a little report in today's HUN about a delegation from the Melbourne Football Club led by Ron Barassi and Max Walker to China to establsih marketing opportunities and promote the game.

Players include Brock McLean and Nathan Carroll (yes we can expect another fracas at Tienamin Square or at the Great Wall), Chris Johnson, Michael Newton, James Frawley, Lynden Dunn, Clint Bartram, Paul Wheatley and Matthew Bate.

That's a strong contingent of mainly young blood and seems like a good idea to me. It might help some of them grow up and learn the meaning of responsibility in their roles as ambassaors for the club.

    That's a random assortment of names... Juice is still very green, Wheatley is just plain odd, Frawley's played only a handful, Chris Johnson could probably consider himself lucky to still be around.

His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
