I'd love to see a player out on the ground sending an SMS while waiting for a kick

Hopefully someone is bringing a camera again... those of us who can't be there want action shots!

Haha at breaks of course!

Someone took film and that last time so I guess Rolo or someone will...

Nah we had 1 on the bench, and 3 saints blokes were kind enough to fill in as they had plenty of numbers, they were bloody decent too.

Thanks melbournefc and rollo for putting that together, sorry we couldn't bring home the bacon :(

...thanks Coxy & Madness....we did put up a great show in excessive heat....a good 3rd Qtr comeback by our mob...

Did that quarter go for 26 mins?

I got a PM from Premiers08 & Demons32....outlining their absence for today's game.

Here's to the next one!

Madness....hopefully will get you to fill in for a couple Rec Footy matches in Nov - will be intouch. ;)

Was a heap of fun today - although I doubt my body will EVER forgive me.

Unfortunately we were up against a couple of bigger bodies who were hard to stop - however our fightback was inspirational - even though we couldn't bring it home in the end...

I'm sure Rollo will have a report, so I don't want to ruin it, but I will say thanks to everyone for coming - ESPECIALLY Rollo for all his help with everything, Whispering Jack and Redleg for the coaching, melbournefc for organising the team, George and Tim_ for their help between the big sticks, and a massive thanks to the 4 St. Kilda boys who came over to help out - all four put in a massive effort which was really good to see, thanks boys.

I refused to let us sing the song at the end. You never sing after a loss...

We want it to really mean something when we knock 'em off next time!

My BOG (for Demonland/Demonology) - imtoohot...

Even though he was terribly embarrassed every time WJ read his pseudonym out!

Have to agree with you Mick on the singing of the tune....we need to earn the right to sing it - has more meaning that way.

Yup agree with you both, when I think WJ or Rollo said that i'm like WTF!?

Well done guys!

I know that I said we'll revoke (well actually, provoke :P) your posting rights if you lose, but 4 points in this heat is not a bad effort. You're off the hook providing that you smash them next time :D

Thanks a whole bunch MelbourneFC, Rollo, and the whole team for a great afternoon. My legs are wrecked, and I'm knackered, but I'm reasonably happy with my first game of footy. Still got the rugby in me unfortunately; I tried to bullock my way through their back pocket players and got pinged for running too far! Ah well.

Their number 15 was super impressive; I think I heard him saying after the game that he had bagged himself a pre-season trial at Casey Scorpions; understandable.

Thanks again guys.

Wouldn't suprise me. Not bad for a ring in. Maybe we need a ring in like that next time. Someone should have rung Jamar!!!!

Sounds like u put in a great effort fellas. What was the full time score? Sorry i couldnt be there but family comitment was more important. Ill do my best to be at the next one...the weather likely to be hotter then than it was today in melbourne.

Wish I could have come and watched but had to work.

As work is literally 5 minutes away from Glenferrie Oval, I saw a few guys decked out in footy shorts and Melbourne caps (no doubt some of you guys) after my shift had finished, looking very tired post-match!

I'm amazed you could be bothered playing today - I was suffering big time in an air-conditioned workplace!

Not only that the ground was like concrete, you don't want to see some of the blisters on my feet!

You are an evil evil young lady.

To 'cameron the bruce' and 'diablo' who saw my blisters, you will understand why I cannot walk

Looking forward to seeing how I am feeling tomor

By the way if you go over to ology' George has posted a couple of videos and the team photo.

Yeah mate you should take a photo and send it into Ralph or FHM. I remember they used to pay cash for gross pictures, I'm pretty sure that'd qualify. Turn your injury into profit :D

The pre-match address is gold, especially the bit about run and carry

Need to put names to faces on that photo. I only recognise one person in that whole team.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
