STOP KICKING BACK & SIDEWAYS

Featured Replies

If we could salvage just one thing from this miserable year it would be a promise by players and coaching staff to eliminate kicking backwards and sideways for the rest of the season.

It is woeful football.

The only time we look half decent is when we kick the ball long & do it quickly.

Please fellers do this one thing for your long suffering supporters.

can we add handballing to that. a couple of times i saw melbourne guys about to be, or in the middle of being, tackled and yet decided to turn and handball ten metres backwards, and often to the kangaroos advantage. is the mindset of the team so negative as to not have players in front of the ball carrier, forcing these players to think of handballing backwards or what is it/

That's just crazy talk...

Very mischevious Clint

handballing backwards is not always bad. did u see geelong v doggies on friday night? they nearly always had a player 3 metres behind the ball handler in case he was about to get caught or was unsure where to deliver. It all comes down to skill levels. our handballing generally has been poor.

yeah, i mean more when players were being tackled and then looked back to handpass backwards, with no teammate there
