I dont remember agreeing with you Deanox, if I did someone please get my head read

oh sorry, but i generally ignore your opinions when it comes to serious discussion anyway. and given that you are on here stciking up for your little brother again im not that concerned that you agree with him and not me. your vote of confidence does him no favours in this argument.

pickett wouldnt have allowed it.

Now there's another problem altogether.

But while I definitely think that falling asleep (read: passing out) in public due to being totally sloshed is never recommended and is hardly being condoned by anyone around here, it is the "without incident" part of that quote that seems important here for some reason that completely escapes me now, sorry.

Possibly because if he was drunk and asleep and STILL caused an incident, that would be really disturbing. Night terrors, anyone?

Back on topic, Davey was stupid. He'll now have a two week holiday and I hope he's on match payments because unprofessional actions like that deserve a penalty. It is getting concerning that little acts of petulance are creeping into his game on a regular basis - little punches, free kicks and 50 metre penalties on the wing. I'm sick of it and he needs to grow up. At 24 years old and 80 odd games, he should know better.

I do think some here are being too harsh about his reaction after he was brought back on though. He ran the game out and kicked goals - how else could he show his contrition?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
