Liv one-on-one rehab, walking on her heels then jogging on the balls of her feet. She then had short kicks practice.

Radar sprinting at top speed then coming to an abrupt stop without slowing at all.

Blaithin running and being sternly forewarned to not sprint… cheeky B 🙂

Lampy also running… a lot. Her enthusiasm and positivity is infectious. Her smile could solve all the world’s problems.

The match sim was full-on. Riggers Jnr and GC in particular super impressive. Also my girl LJ33 but maybe I’m just biased 😊

Edo came off visibly in terrible pain with a dislocated finger. They popped it back in, a couple of pain killers and she was back out there like it never even happened.

Jacinta Hose (nickname José 😅) is coming along well, looking forward to seeing her on the park, she’s determined to get through rehab and can’t wait to debut (next season).

Fun fact (except not fun at all): players on the injury list have to pay their own way to interstate games if they want to attend.

That’s all I can report since I got there 45 minutes late coz trains 🙄 and I had to leave at the scheduled finish time of 1:30pm but the girls being the girls they didn’t look like finishing up anytime soon. Therefore I missed the entire goal-kicking session.

Forgot to mention that this only applies to the W (of course)

Thanks for the report! Sounds promising for the rehabbers.

I think we're all keen on a selection squeeze at this point!

Was Heater present? Hear she's been joined at the club by another Heath who can lay a big tackle. A little taller, I guess.

We'll miss this kind of thing on the Sunday:

Heater was there. She didn’t train with the main group but she participated in drills that don’t include hands. She’s in great spirits and was encouraging the others, especially the other rehabbers.

Forgot to mention Dingo (DT18) who trained really well. It will be great to see her back out there on Sunday.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
