Brock McLean= God.

Quoted for truth

ah huh...agree.... u wont make any friends by posting this, but it is quite... true...

tho he was one of our best today, and good to see he is back playin good footy

the people i sat next too also agreed, but its not about saying im right and someone else is wrong, it is purely my opinion, its also not about making or not making friends, its about what the MFC club means to me and all of its members. in any aspect of life you have to reflect on your actions and be able to aceept feedback. we all want success for this club. Brock did play well today but i thought he could of done some things differentally. ND said he gave Robbo a dreessing down during the week, look how he responded.

Brock is a star. I love watching him play, especially alongside Jones.

He had a good game today, and was unlucky with that free for throwing the ball down, and then the 50 for arguing. He lead well as always. When we were 3 points up, being over-run, it was Brock who lifted and had a big last quarter and was directing our players around the ground.

We've got some great young talent for the future.

Brock and Jones in midfield. Bate and Sylvia across half forward. Bell and Petterd across half back.

What we need now is to fill the 2 last lines with the KPP...

With regards to the hands in the back rule: which we all hate

Brock said "I does not confuse me, just the intepretation"

Well said

He is a star.

Pure and simply the best leader, hardest worker and toughest footballer we have at this club.

He leads by example and he MUST be our next captain.

His workrate today was something to marvel at. He was making 50m leads every time, when everyone else stood still.

Brocky, you are a pleasure to watch in the red & blue and you make me so happy to be a Melbourne supporter!

Love Brocky as much as anyone but I think you are being a bit harsh on other players saying he was the only one making leads when everyone else stood still. Wheats, Sylvia, PJ and even an injured Neita ran hard towards the end to present. And don't underestimate Brad Green's tackle on "neon leon" in the last qtr or his great pack mark! A really great team effort!!!!!

Subject: emcguire - go sign up Brock Mclean

IMHO, he will be AFL MVP several times before his career finishes."

Anyone got a link to that thread?

Was the tanty directed at Holland thats what I want to know. I think it was and I find it disappointing

Get over it!

The 'tanty', was in fact a show of frustration because he didn't mark it and the ball bounced out after all of his hard work to present and chase.

He got annoyed because he cares, and it kills him when he doesn't win a contest, or a possession. It's called being a winner.

Dont touch the moderators favourite player apparently

This has nothing to do with me being a moderator, or whether I like Brock McLean.

You really haven't been here long enough to judge my comments.

If Bruce, Ward, Jones, Godfrey or whoever did what Brock did, I would say the same thing.

Showing passion is not a crime, and in fact sometimes we really lack that at Melbourne.

I wish we had more players who hated losing as much as this guy does.

At least "the moderators" favorite player is her favorite player because of his skill level and not how hawt he is.

And I would say the same thing as well. Dont tell me I havent been here long enough I have clearly being a supporter simply because I am older and its got nothing to do with it so dont start that.

Yup spot on, I have my eyes purely set on Brock sometimes and not on the paly just because it's fasinating to watch him go about it. And he really shows some fire or passion when somebody stuffs up, including himself. Just have a look at the way he punches the ground after he missed that goal on the run, he bleeds for this club, seriously...

Getting a little bit narky isn't it... ;)

I like it when when a team leader gives it to another senior player for dropping below the standard expected. Would have been different it he had a go at Petterd or Frawley but it wasn't. Good to see he put his hand up for the undisciplined 50 as well. Shows he can take responsibility as well as demand it.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
