    So he poaches an important guy from 9 to the magpies, says" i work for both companys and got the best interest in both parties" then resigns and says nice to know ya to channel 9. hahaha thats pretty funny.

    The truth is that he is way out of his ability and league as CEO of channel 9. I have plenty of respect for Eddie, what he has done for himself and what he has done for Collingwood, but its a very different skill set to be CEO of a major corporation than president of a football club, with his own tv show.

    Channel 9s ratings where number 1 when he took over 12 months ago. Channel 7 is now way in front and channel 9 is being chased down by channel 10. The last 12 months has seen the biggest drop in ratings for nine in over 20 years. He has been constantly rubbing executives, producers and hosts up the wrong way. He has failed as CEO.

    It is likely James Packer fired him.
