Jvr is a natural forward with all the aggression and athleticism to be a perfect cjf. I hope we get a full season of Petty at ff . It was a good move from Goody to play him fwd ( eventually) and I hope we resist the temptation to move him back. Im frustrated by our lack of finding another established fwd and also another defender to replace Petty down back.  Has Tommo moved on?

What are you on? Tommo and Disco are ready to be a part of our backline. It will be great if Fisco can be given games do that come Finals he will totally ready.

Caddy looks like he will be a hybrid forward but could end up developing into an inside midfielder.

Jefferson has shown little to suggest he will be an AFL footballer IMO.

Players like Jefferson typically take 3 years to develop at a minimum. Give the boy some time

Curtain is the go for first pick, very good skills, versatile and quality.

Leake could also be a great get.

Agree but as below post Leake and I say or Windsor at 11 would be nice additions to our list.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
