Players need to take responsibility!

G'day Fellow Demons Supporters!

Now I know there are a lot of people saying Neale Daniher has to go but I think we must remember that the players are responsible as well.

Of course, we have had a lot of injuries (thats an understatement!) but there are still players who have been putting in weak selfish efforts and not contributing to the team.

There are a lot of PASSENGERS in the team that need to lift their game OR they shouldn't be playing for the MFC any more!

At the end of the year we need a TOTAL clean out of the club. We need to de-list a lot of players, and have an overhaul of our coaching staff!

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF ACCEPTING MEDIOCRITY!

I'm seriously going to start having nightmares from 1997!

GO DEMONS IN 2007?!

(2nd time I have posted this, why was it deleted?)

From what I saw and heard, the boys put in more of an effort during the middle part of the game than they have all year.

I saw a much improved performance today which told me that if we had out polishing players there i.e. McLean, Neitz, Rivers and the like, we'd have gotten much much closer if not won it.

Exactly Mick.

I saw some very good signs (watched on TV in syd so missed 1st quarter and half of 2nd - blood V8s supercars)

Dunn - very impressive. The way he played was so smart. Always seemed to keep his feet and held his own several times alone against multiple Freo players.

Miller

YZE - what a goal!

Davey

McDonald

Bate

Green

Bruce (9 tackles)

etc put in good efforts today.

We just lacked class - A grade players.

Carrol was poor IMO. Sylvia and Pickett needed the run but were ok. And we were very scrappy. Forwardline didn't function well. Too many lose Freo players on the counterattack etc

At least we are improving.

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
