DL has got a banner with  lot of our favorite players featured.

My review of the banner performances Round 2 below.

Petracca - An excellent game with power, balance and vision. BOG. Banner place justified

May - Just a game. nothing to do for a quarter and a half and when the pressure came on was part of a disorganised defence.

Oliver - A good game from him he does what he does and does it well. Banner place justified

Jetta - Not a good game. Has it passed him by or is it just a form slump?

Gawn - A very good game from him but do I sense a bit too much arrogance in his game. Want to see how his leadership progresses. Banner place justified

Viney - Loved his tackling. when he gets hold of someone they do not get away. Banner place justified

vdB - Would like to see him fit and in the team. he need his hardness.

TMac - Turning circle of the Queen Mary and out of form. Or maybe it is a lack of fitness standards he had in 2018.

Goodwin - Calm in the box but he seems reluctant to make changes during the game.

May was horrid on the weekend.

We’re entitled to expect much better from him.

His kicking was way off and a costly marking attempt resulted in a Carlton goal.

Gawn's performance was underrated on here I reckon. I know it's a flawed ranking system, but 185 supercoach points in a shortened game is a phenominal effort. Seemed like half our scoring chains started with a clean hitout to advantage from Maxy - proved that a dominant ruckman can still be an asset in modern footy.

I do not underrate his performance against the Blues at all. However, he is now the Captain of the team and his on field leadership needs to be evaluated on a game by game basis. While he may have been leading by example, he will need to do more in the future to try and change things on the ground as the situation requires. I did not see that on Saturday.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
