Robbo Injury?

Featured Replies

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I was down in Beaumaris today and saw a very brusied and battered Robbo! His nose is covered with plaster taped on to his face and he looked VERY bruised. Have I missed something? Did this happen in last week's game or during training???

Hopefully I have got it all wrong and Russell has an identical twin!

Please tell me it isn't true!

Probably had a nose job

[censored], may have been jumped, that's a worry... :(

be greatfull its not a knee..

Robbo broke his nose late in the game agianst the Hawks.

He had it operated on on Mon or Tues.

The operation had some minor complications and didn't go as well as planned, but he will be right by round 1.

Brooke - aka Mrs Robertson - was with Robbo today at MALT having lunch. They were discreetly tucked away in the corner and I didn't feel it was appropriate to have a chat given he was obviously in discomfort. I have seen broken noses before but he seriously looks like he has met with Mike Tyson again!

I just hope that he makes a speedy recovery and doesn't have any complications - such a shame if there was to be any lifetime damage to that gorgeous face - OH and the fact that he might miss a few games of footy too.

He is already done that and I dont believe had an operation on it in the offseason. Has it recovered?

Hope Robbo makes a speedy recovery from his face injury and there are no major problems :)

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
