Werribee’s Thomas Gribble was the runaway winner of the JJ Liston Trophy polling 25 votes - eight more than Footscray VFL youngster Rhylee West with Thomas Campbell of North Melbourne VFL coming in third on 15 votes.

The leading vote getter for the Casey Demons was Braydon Preuss who polled 12 votes to come in at equal ninth.

Expected Munro to do better. He was in the best every time I saw them play.

Still, I suppose the players who tackle and work hard aren’t noticed as much as the ones who do the spectacular stuff.

Also of note for Dees fans - Melbourne's AFLW ruck, Lauren Pearce, won the VFLW Best & Fairest (albeit not playing for Casey). I won't duplicate here, but more info on the VFLW awards on the other forum!
