This has struck me too. It requires great foot skills and someone being in the right spot to receive. I doubt any other team has the foot skills.

Just repeating what others have said in that the big difference between us and the hawks is that their 22 players are of far better individual quality than ours. From the top to the bottom. The quality of the players is what makes a gameplan look efficient, not the other way around.

 

no magic or mystery for mine, they are just a very good team in a very weak season, Geelong North & Port have dropped away, Eagles & Freo have overachieved, Sydney are same/same, Richmond, Bulldogs & GWS well in the 8 yet very average sides.

18 team comp has spread the talent very thin, so many below AFL standard games every week, players are now learning their trade in the premier competition due to lack of personnel
