One Last Hurrah for 2014

If you haven't already seen this in your inboxes here's a reminder that we're going to see out 2014 with a special supporter session at Gosch's Paddock this Friday 19th December.

A Volunteer group working in conjunction with The Demon Army are putting on a BBQ at training. We ask for a gold coin donation for sausages with all proceeds going to The Demon Army for future purchases in 2015 - possibly new & bigger Big Heads. (Who's your favourite?) There'll also be a coffee cart on hand where you can purchase your coffees to wash down your sausages.

If you've never been to Gosch's we recommend public transport as the easiest method of getting there. BYO chairs, if necessary ( there's no public seating ) BYO drinking water & sunscreen. And bring your good cheer :)

We'd love to see a big turn up for our last training session of 2014.

You can be sure we'll be there. Will you?

Welcome aboard the Demonland Express.

But be prepared to be criticised - whether its your views about particular players, training habits or the quality of your sausages.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
