Not the point at all LDvC.

The Geelong FC gets to profit from the redevelopment of its ground in ways no other club does. We get nothing from the money put in to Gosch's but every single spectator who goes to Kardinia Park now puts money into the GFC's accounts.

I seem to recall there is a bit of state and federal monies going into Kardinia Park ,and the pies publically owned venues at the swimming centre and Victoria Park where Public Lavatories would be available.

Perhaps we should apply for a government grant for the paddock, get a multisex portaloo onsite for the players and " fans " and charge admision too ?

What are peoples thoughts on the Cats charging non members to attend open training sessions?

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-12-18/cats-defend-training-fees

I think it is a disgrace, imagine a family who is struggling to make ends meet and wants to take the kids to see there team train. They now need to fork out money to watch them to a bunch of run throughs and hand ball drills.

I hope this does not set a precedent and it gets strong opposition to the idea.

disgraceful. money grabbing. & it will come back to bite them.

If I was down there following the cats, I would just turn my back on them, for being so cheap, & selfish.

Nonsense. The AFL motto is "cash is king!". The only way a club can get ahead in the competition is to be fabulously wealthy which breeds success which yields more wealth and respect from the commission. Charge the mugs for everything I say.
