I'm so confused around the structures at the club I have no idea if what PJ is doing is right or not. When Craig came to the club and was given his title the MFC attempted to explain his role/duties on the club website. I was baffled then and still are. Was Vineys role different to Harringtons? Is anyone doing Craig's role now his is interm Head Coach? Who were the 4 employees reporting to CS? I was under the impression that Craig reported directly to the board to minimise CS's influence over the FD. This was reported after 186 and when Craig was appointed

Craig may have been reporting directly to the board, but I don't think anyone was reporting to him.

He was only there as a "mentor" - that's my understanding, at least.

It's the fuzzy logic and indirect reporting lines that lead to the inefficiency we've displayed as a football club.

I can only assume Schwab was trying to give the appearance of staying out of the footy dept, so he could assume the role of GMFO that he really coveted, along with CEO.

Otherwise, there's no logic for why he'd set up such a snakes and ladders organisational structure.

Very happy to see him gone.

The list is a mess and Harrington has been responsible for "managing it" since 2009.

He couldn't polish the turd quick enough?

I am sorry - it isn't so easy. We did not have a great list before he came and we don't have one now.

Just because his job was made redundant doesn't mean he should shoulder the blame.

There is plenty to go around to over a decade of coaches, recruiters, and administrators.

P.J. was pretty clear that his sacking had nothing to do with performance. I'm not in the reNeducation camp that buys all the spin but I think that Harrington's is more a redundancy than a sacking. We pay boatloads to coaches and officials and for what? The whole process needed to become streamlined.

Goodness me, what are your career prospects once you are made redundant at the MFC, a club that needs list management more than any other club in the history of the AFL?
