Rats In The Ranks ... On The Couch attack was 'staged'

First OTC on monday with Brock, then Insider on tuesday looking at our 09 game against the Tigers, then the former President bags the club on wednesday and today the back page of the little paper goes into detail about a function we are having to raise money for a war chest to chase players.

Now I was invited to that function and my invitation arrived two weeks ago. Who leaked that invitation to the press and why have they sat on the story for two weeks? Obviously timing is why they sat on it. Now we are being hammered, is the perfect time.

It is becoming clearer that there are people within our club who want to see the club harmed. They obviously have links with the press. Maybe they just want the current administration turfed and will do anything to see that happen. If this is true, then it is very sad. Jimmy as one of his main goals wanted to bring all supporters together. Looks like that is a dream.

It was this time last year CS was given a twelve month extension.

From memory his contract runs till the end of October

That being the case it is an amazing coincidence that at a similar time to last year's sacking, 186 and reinstating this all rears its head.

Is he getting a new contract or what?

I am not surprised that conspirators are afoot at the MFC

We have spent 5 years effectively producing nothing on the field.

Now whether they are right or not It is clear to me that for whatever reason a large number of the media have someone high up in the MFC in the Gun and will not give up until that person leaves the MFC.

Throw in a few members who agree and we have our current position.

Sad but not unexpected from were I sit.

Today's topic of a war chest I'd imagine came from the club itself.

Deflection away from tanking, as it's an unrelated issue.

I don't see how it's a negative issue.

It wasn't Cameron Schwab I saw out there on the field down at Geelong last year.

I have missed the connection RR between the highlighted sentence and your comment.

I will guess are you suggesting that I am saying CS is to blame?

Was not my intention as I have no idea what was behind that whole saga.

I think it is interesting that all this comes up almost 12 months to the week CS was given a twelve month extension.

It is time to renew his contract or not true?

So sick of pretend CEO's and pretend board members spouting on here

For the first time in 30 years has this club been in this position (financial) (FD up to speed)

and people want to pull down all the hard work and get a new CEO and board......so they can spout their own importance.......

Give the club a chance to consolidate....Mistakes have probably been made and will probably will again but for goodness sake give them a go....

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
